At Bark City Groomers we are Experienced, Professional Dog Groomers, who are qualified in all aspects of the dog grooming industry.
We offer a full range of bathing, grooming and clipping services at reasonable rates and cater for the SMALL to MEDIUM sized dogs. Using only the BEST products and equipment, your dog will leave Bark City smelling clean and looking FABULOUS!
Our priority is your dogs welfare and happiness and the needs of our customers are the utmost importance. We strongly believe that grooming should be a pleasurable experience and every dog is treated with the loving kindness and expert care that they deserve in our safe and caring, clean environment.

ABOUT the dog groomer.
My name is Antoinette and I am a Certified, Professional Dog Groomer with over 10+ years grooming experiences. I have been working in the Pet Industry since 2002 as a Retail Assistant until a job opportunity came up to learn the art of dog grooming. From that moment on, I started working in a number of grooming salons throughout the Wellington area, trained by a number of qualified NZ Master Groomers. In 2006 I attended a course in Australia to further my skills and techniques while been trained by Australian Master Groomers. When I came home, I decided I wanted to be my own boss so in August 2008, I started my business named ‘Bark City Groomers’ from a pet shop in Stokes Valley. During that time, I transformed my garage into a dog grooming facility and decided to move my business back home, in my garage. For years I worked from home, offering my customers a full range of dog grooming services. Building a reputable business along the way, I became a busy but happy, little dog groomer. I also have dogs of my own including cats and birds which I adore. After years of working from home, I decided it was time to move into bigger premises. In May 2017, a shop Upper Hutt became available so I took the next step and had my business moved from home and into the shop. 3 years later and thanks to the Covid19, we have had to close the shop and move all equipment back home in Featherston where I have setup dog grooming for both my Loyal and New customers. I love and enjoy working with my customers, helping to keep their dogs looking and smelling Fabulous. A well groomed dog is a happy, healthy dog.
