My name is Cinder The Berzerker, and I'm a young 12 years old. I love to run the neighborhood with my dad to keep fit, chase my brother Ruckus and clean his ears for him, and show my sister Grizelda all the ways of the Berzerker (she's an EXCELLENT student, hehe!). We recently got a new packmate, our grammie's dog, Libby - she's sweet, pretty, and SUPER hyper - so I try to help her be comfy in he

r new household. I also help my mom by accompanying her while she works, guard the house from the mailman, and play with my hedgehog toys. I enjoy fashion, and have quite a large wardrobe of bandanas - I pick out my own look of the day, depending which smells the best to me. Oh, and I love hanging out here on our page, keeping up with our friends!!! :)

Hi everyone. This post has been a long time coming...

On Super Bowl Sunday 2014, "Berzerker Dad" and I skipped the game and went to meet a litter of puppies at a foster home - we were looking to adopt a new furry family member.
A fuzzy yellow boy with amber eyes was happy to be picked up and cuddled. He gazed deeply into my eyes and, well… what can I say? I’ve always been a sucker for a cute boy with pretty eyes. Then he kissed my nose, I melted, and two days later, we brought the boy home.
After three nights of his howling at all hours at a decibel level neither of us knew was possible for a 14-pound bundle of fuzz and intestinal worms (we’re talking jet engine levels here!), he named himself.
Ruckus the Berzerker became the funny, sweet co-hooligan to Cinder almost instantly. Always affectionate, never mean-spirited, and forever mooching for snacks, he filled our house with love - and golden floaty tufts of hair that went everywhere: under furniture, inside socks, behind contact lenses… you name it, we’ve found Ruckus hair in it.
When we got Grizelda, after their initial meeting - when he bit her head and she shook it off and launched herself back at him as if to say, “Oh, it’s ON, you yellow weirdo!!” - they were besties and partners in crime. Ruckus never outgrew the fiery spunkiness that made up the core of his relationship with Z, right up till the end.
He moved with us overseas and cross-country - afraid of every cardboard box and baby gate, but braving it all to be with us. Always smiling and always squeaking… because even though he weighed nearly 100 pounds, a good 70 of that was squeak. Seriously.
He had been ill for a while, and we sensed we’d soon have to make the decision to say goodbye. He was such a good boy, though - on July 25th, he fell asleep in front of his favorite box fan and went his own way.
Today would have been his birthday - our Halloween boy, forever wrapped in magic and mischief. 🎃🐾
We’ll always miss his squeak, his absurd sense of humor, his sweet face… and I’ll always miss the nose kisses.

Hi everyone! Berzerker Mom here. One year ago today we said goodbye to our beautiful Cinder the Berzerker. Ruckus and Zelda are relaxing today, enjoying some sunshine, and later will have a yummy dinner with chicken, rice, pumpkin, and puppy ice cream for dessert, in honor of their big sister. We miss her - those who have fur babies they've lost get it... they're gone, and we go on, but they never leave us. We still feel her around, truly!

Hi everyone! "Berzerker Mom" here! I'm sorry we've been away so much - life has gotten hectic, I'm afraid! But Zelda and I are working today (well, I'm working - she's supervising... through her eyelids, lounging on my rug!).

Hi everyone! Things are quiet and boring on the Berzerker front. But, figured we'd throw out a Blast From The Past, from this day in 2016 - Ruckus in his "Dr. Huxtable" sweater! 😂🐾❤ We lived in Hawaii at the time, and the weather was warm and balmy, but Ruckus was happy as a clam, and feeling handsome!

Our Story

Hi! My name is Cinder "the Berzerker". I'm an 10 year old German Shepherd, my brother Ruckus “the Berzerker” is a 6 year old, Lepherd (Lab/Shepherd, hehe!), and our little sister Grizelda (Zelda!) “the Berzerker” is a 2 year old German Shepherd. We live with our dad and mom in a house with a big yard full of pretty trees and squirrels! I love to run the neighborhood with my dad to help him p.t. (don't know what p.t. means - all I know is I get to run around and bark at my buddies in the 'hood!). I also chase Ruckus and Zelda and clean their ears for them, protect the home from the daily threat of the postal carrier, and play with my hedgehog toys. We enjoy fashion, and have quite a large wardrobe of bandanas - I pick out my own look of the day, depending which smells the best to me. Ruckus enjoys snacks, long naps under Dad and Mom’s bed (even tho he’s WAAAAAYYYYY to big to be squeezing under it anymore!), and butt rubs! Zelda is into naps, jumping baby gates, playing with Ruckus and following me around. Hit the like button, and be our friend! :)
