http://damitasprettywrap.blogspot.com/ http://www.etsy.com/shop/damitasprettywrap?ref=si_shop I have been making jewelry for a while now and just more recently I’ve taken up some different crafting! A new adventure in sewing has me quite occupied these days. I am making cuff bracelets, hair pins, fabric flowers, and much more! In addition I am also learning how to quilt from the knowledge of my
Grandmother. Through the years I’ve been giving hand crafted items as gifts to friends and family and selling them locally. Damita’s Pretty Wrap originated from my two horses’ names. Hi Ja De Peppy Zans La“Damita” and “Wrap Me Up Pretty… Casey.” Casey has been an excellent horse over the years, we’ve been together for about 11 years now and have shown at the county fair, state fair, open shows and AQHA shows throughout Indiana & Michigan. We showed both English & Western disciplines and have been a very successful team. Now she spends her days out in the pastures with her buddies eating grass and some occasional trail riding (:
Damita was a beautiful sorrel mare with one white sock and three little white freckles on her flank. I remember when we first bought her, I was such an excited happy little girl! I was in second grade (1995) and excited to show in the county fair the following year. Of course between my sister and I we both had a few horses, but Damita was so special to me. We use to say she was my War horse, she would do anything for me. November of 2008, we had to put her down, she was 23 years old; words couldn’t describe the pain I felt saying goodbye to her. That was my pony, my best friend, and I loved her. Trying to just look at all the wonderful memories and time I had with her, I had started beading and crafting before, but after she had passed I wanted to help myself be able to say her name again and keep her with me always. I recently married a wonderful husband, {this past June 2011} that supports anything that I do, and I would love to get my business going! Thanks for taking time to read this, and have fun looking around!
