It is with my greatest sadness to let you know that Waffles the Corgi at the age of 12-years-old passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 31st.

Waffles began to lose control of his rear legs due to degenerative myelopathy (DM), a spinal cord disease, beginning in October 2023. Treatment from his vet, chiropractor, and using non-stick pads on his feet helped him continue living a happy life.

His feisty behavior and hearty appetite were completely normal. He went to sleep and never woke up. We are extremely grateful that he passed without having to suffer but of course, there is a giant hole in our hearts.

When I'm feeling up to it, I plan to continue posting his photos that I never got to post and keep his memory alive.

Please keep us and his sis-fur Cinnabon in your prayers. And hug your fur-babies for us.

It's not an exaggeration to say that HRH Queen Elizabeth II introduced countless people to the corgis for the first time. If it were not for her love of the breed, many of us would not own corgis today.

It is with great honor that we carry on her love and devotion to the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She will forever be the Mother of All Corgis. May she rest in peace. 💔
