Releashed Rescue is a licensed 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing huskies and other working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes. Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program.

Our goal is to find the right family to love and care for the animals for their lifetime. Releashed Rescue has a vision of a world where animals are not killed because they are inconvenient. Instead, we hope to educate the public about pet over-population, spay , neuter, humane treatment of animals and how animals can enrich the lives of people including the elderly, children and those with disabilities.

Obi (formerly Gus. Son of Precious) for earning his Container Novice Elite and Exterior Advanced title at the end of the yearAKC Scentwork trial with the Atlanta Obedience club.

Obi has the most incredible owner that understands the needs that this breed has. Obi has also excelled in racing. From his owner, Sonia: He has truly created a new journey with a new set of dog aficionado friends in both our lives ❤️

Kris Kringle is hoping for a home for Christmas. Kris was pulled from an Atlanta area shelter before his euthanasia date. We have had to put him in boarding because we did not have a place to put him even the boarding facility Said he is the sweetest dog. Don’t you have room for him in your home for Christmas.

Meet Rocky a very happy 1–2-year-old Siberian husky. Rocky was picked up in September 2023 by animal control as a stray. He was reunited with his owners, but they did nothing to improve his living conditions. His life consisted of being tied by a chain to a tree with a wire crate as his only shelter. Animal control convinced the owners to surrender him to the shelter or face charges. Despite a poor upbringing, this dog loves life and everyone in it. Of course, he has learned zero in the manners department which we are working on correcting. He is in good body weight and has a lovely coat. He does jump up and is a handful on a leash. When I picked him up from the shelter two young boys (8-12 years old) were there with their moms who volunteer. Rocky loved the kids. He plays outside during the day with Jazzy and Balto. They all get along famously. Being Rocky is young he loves to play and run, run, run. He has stayed inside our fence. At night he sleeps quietly in a crate in the house. Don’t you have a place for the sweet boy?

Memphis is the young spunky half of a wonderful bonded pair. Memphis and Kovu were out of time and needed out of Animal Control last summer. We couldn’t let them die. They are an easy pair, crate trained, house trained and although Memphis gets the zoomies, they settle down and are wonderful dogs. Memphis is 5 to 6 years old. She is great with her brother Kovu but can be a little nervous around new humans. Once she bonds to her family, she is super sweet and loving. She is a Volunteer favorite at our rescue. We would love to find them a home for the holidays.

Today, We are thankful for you. Memphis and Kovu were a bonded pair surrendered to animal control. It’s very difficult to adopt out a bonded pair but if I had room for two, these two would be the ones I would choose. They are super sweet and loving, crate, trained, house trained and practically perfect in every way. Do you have room for the sweet pair?

We would love to raise $2000 and get it matched by them. During the holiday season we get flooded with requests to help dogs and we'd love to be able to help as many as possible. We can't do that without your help.

Meet Maizie!! What a fun girl to foster, with lots of personality and brilliant blue eyes! We’re guessing she’s around a year old and about 40 pounds. She really likes her old man foster brother who hasn’t played with a new rescue in years. She’s getting used to the crate, walks really well on a leash and is a loving, happy, confident girl! She definitely loves people and is very sociable. She will make a fabulous addition to any family and would especially love another fur sibling.

Foster or forever home needed immediately: we pulled this little girl out of a county shelter last week. She has been vetted and her leg was just a sprain. She is precious, sweet and young! We are full and we have her in boarding. We would love to get her out

Hello! My name is Minnie Lucille McDogglestuff, or Lucy for short. I’m a Border Collie Sheltie Mix of awesome in a pint size 20 lb package. I am THE amazing co-piolot / passenger princess / ride or die you’ve been searching for. I LOVE to travel and I’m SO GOOD at it. I keep my opinions about your terrible driving to myself, don’t get carsick and barf, and I am an expert at hoovering up any left-over crumbs that fall out of your to-go order. Since staying with my foster mom, she’s taken me on road trips to South Carolina, Florida and south Georgia. I received 5 stars on my behaviors chart on all 3 trips. I’m an awesome TriPaw, and while I only have 3 legs, you would never know that I’m not a miniature greyhound sporting a fur coat. I can run FAST and I do everything my 4 legged compadres do. I’m 1 year old, which is 7 in dog years….in case you don’t know dog math. I’m looking for a home where I can be the center of your world, or at minimum a human that makes me believe I am. A dog friend to play with would be a super cool too…okay, pretty much a requirement along with ear scratches. I will also require a fresh organic carrot as my pre-bedtime snack each night. I will eat my low-cal carrot while watching and judging you as you finish off that entire bag of Cheetos just before swimsuit season. You’re probably wondering how I got here…. Last year I was either run over by a monster truck, an 18 wheeler or stepped on by an elephant. Anyway, my previous owner didn’t take me to the vet to get my leg fixed and the break was still broke and all the muscle atrophied. Then, I ended up at the shelter, because, duh, bad humans…. The shelter called up Releashed Rescue who took me in and paid a zillion dollars to the vet to got my leg fixed. Speaking of the zillion dollars, could each of you throw $5 RR’s way to help pay off my vet bill? I’m good with all dogs and cats, and just so you know, I totally hang with the big dogs. My
