Tried a different style of cooking meat tonight with a sous vide water cooker and a quick sear after. Man is it awesome. Bonnie and Cody enjoyed a few bites.

Forgot to post this story from November. This was one of the biggest bucks we tracked this year. It was a messy track with a lot of ups and downs. With Bonnie going wild with all the fresh turkey scratchings. Jumping what we thought was the buck. Then on the way to do a reset the brother of the hunter found the buck. It was a happy ending with a beautiful buck.

It was hard enough to get Bonnie in the house with the snow that she loves to play in and now the frozen turds she thinks are toys and tries to bring in but now she has a scary snowpile to protect us from.

A successful/unsuccessful track this evening. We gave a hunter some closure. With only a few drops of blood at 300 yards and minimal hair at the shot sight the track we called close to the property line. We called it at a cold frozen bed with a small small amount of blood around the 600 yard mark. We knew the shot was very high but wanted to give it a go. Bonnie worked thru a field of I can’t even tell how many deer tracks. I was proud of her and the first time tracking in the snow.

Bonnie still isn’t a fan of tick inspection time.

Ready for pictures with Santa tommorrow. Was hoping for a track for a local bow hunter for Bonnie’s sake also hoping the hunter didn’t need us and was a good shot that we thought it was. Well the shot was good how the deer made it as far as it did is crazy. Bonnie was needed and had to settle with me taking pics of her. She was not happy.

Not sure if Bonnie remembers the snow back in Findland at Gabi Brek-Laitinen. But she seemed very unsure until she got all 4 paws in and off she went.

When you shoot a doe, and it runs down a huge ravine, and you decide to go get your young tracking dog for practice. Then you realize it’s weds and all your buddies are working. It may end like this.
