Social Responsibility (SR) Test
There are three sections to the SR test:
Leash Communication
Obedience
Liberty
The Social Responsibility test is both the gateway entry test for all drive events and an event itself.
The SR test, similar to the drive events, allows for three levels of competition.
The SR1 title exemplifies that the handler\dog team can navigate the world cooperatively, responsibly, and safely.
The SR2 and SR3 titles exemplify that the dog\handler team has gone above and beyond what is required to be cooperative, responsible, and safe and can be held to a higher standard of precision and fluency in leash communication, obedience, and liberty skills.
Competitors start with 100 points. Points are deducted for deviations from the ideal picture. A score of 70 or higher is passing.
A score below 70 points is non-qualifying.
The starting point and passing score is the same for all SR levels.
Note: No food or toys are allowed in the trial field or in view of the dog outside the trial field. Personal play is only allowed between sections when scoring is off, as indicated by the judge.
