She says I did that "thing" where you make me go out and p*e even tho it's cold. I ate my breakfast. Now don't talk to me until it's over 70 degrees 🐾🥶🐾

Making the most of evening walks in the cut field!
Rogue's grandsons (Jade's great grandsons😬) were taking turns this weekend in Chippewa Falls, each taking a day of breed and select.
Congrats to Biggy and Jenna on his new bronze GCh and Congrats to Bobby hanging with the big dogs at not even 2 years old!
Thank you to co owners Anna and Jenna for getting these boys out!
📷 stolen from Jenna and Anna!
Bo**er turned 2 !
Perch x Biggy boy, bird crazy Bourban 🐾🦆. Thanks Jenna for the pic!
Freckle face day 🍝
0/10 she does not recommend and gives no f**** that I believe walking at high incline will in fact increase her fitness.
Give away time!
This popped up on my phone and made me smile. To celebrate the fact that it's a million degrees and dog days of summer, a 75% or higher on a whose who game of the pics can earn you a prize!
(For the tiny pup, just the breeding, although I know exactly who [he] is!)

This lug bug came to us late last January, and besides his pretty blue eyes and handsome good looks, he's strong as an ox with a heart of gold. We had figured there had to be a drop or two of malamute with his robust build, however I endlesslessly joke that he is a golden retriever in a husky jacket because he is just such a love.
He came to us as a sib, and a sib he will be, but this literally just made my day. 🐾🩵
Take a Hike Kennel
We got home late last night so Gallie was about as hard to pull out of bed as Jake was this morning 😂
But, for a chance to work she's ready, she and Vice were today's post blind retrieve and duck search "adult swim" participants.
Good little baby dog
Morning fields before adventure day Up North!
Morning backing drills for those invi bound!
Pike and Angus are enjoying the North Dakota potholes this week!
Dog days of summer! From WI to MI to PA to South Dakota, Wyoming, and North Dakota, we're getting around 🐾☀️
3rd day in a row now that she can exercise again. Also her second day on her fluoxetine trial.
1. Her kennel charging at other dogs had no growling or teeth clacking, it was mostly edgy exuberance and overstimulated tail wags.
2. Last night she came out willingly and performed the 2 commands she knows, sit and shake for a treat- no other dogs or people around.
3. This morning she came out on her own with an extra person and dog present and did her two commands for a treat and actually jumped up on me when she was excited.
4. Yesterday she ran 2.5 miles (trotted 2nd half as she was gassed) today 1.5 at 12 to 16mph.
5. This morning she screamed and yelled and pulled on her leash to get to the atv when she saw it come out.
6. She was happy to visit Atlas and Sako thru the fence, no longer slinking away or charging.
***still haven't re-tried petting or harnessing***
So yea...she's not high maintenance at all. She needs someone who is willing to give meds and likes to drive an atv and likes to co exist but not be co dependent 😂🤦♀️🫣🐾🤷♀️
*thanks Maddie for riding along this morning so we could get video as I don't have 3 hands.
Some morning recall training, hopefully last day of this sticky humidity spell! 🐾🥵
We are maybe making a tiny iota spec of progress in her demeanor since her utter mental meltdown that started on Monday. She was visibly less tense on this evenings walk. 50ft longline hooked to a 6 ft leash, I am being *tolerated* from 56 feet away. 🐺
She was likely due for a heat soon as the previous records said December was her last. So not exactly sure what her hormones, or now lack thereof, are telling her brain. She's an interesting case to say the least, a head case, but an interesting one at that.
Hopefully normal level of husky snark and happy comes back soon and she doesn't maintain anxious psycho b**** status too much longer.
To the best ever queen bee of the universe, happy 11th birthday to the Gallie monster!
Her summer task list includes hiding the remote control, carrying laundry all over the house, snuggling, sunbathing, doing chores when she feels like it, helping young dogs train on occasion, and waiting around for hunting season.
The most impressive part of this photo is that Jez is backing a setter setting. Previously Mason and now Pesto, Miss Jezebel is a firm believer setters were made for tackling 🐾🤷♀️
If you adopt this little whipper snapper from WCAS, you get a built in massage. Just ask Vice 🤩🐾
He is literally amazing and I really want him to go somewhere fun!
Little puppy big duck 🐾🦆
Today was the first day going in a crate in the van was not an ORDEAL (she prefers to ride loose). I thought that was a win.
However also today, she has refused to LEAVE the crate all day, as she find the noises the beagle makes annoying and she doesn't have to wear a cone in the crate.
Sigh. Moody little miss. 🐺🐾
Spa day, the kids are growing up!
Good tug drive on this little guy! Available thru Waushara County Animal Shelter
The 3 available thru Waushara County Animal Shelter that we are currently involved with!
6 month old MN perfect jack Russell
9 month old MN chunky beagle
3 yr old FS sassy husky
These 3, for being shelter dogs are true representatives of their breed in both type and temperament. The puppies were independently relinquished for shocking-too much energy-and the husky was a transfer from Portage Co for me to foster, found stray in Amherst area last winter.
All 3 freshly spayed and neutered yesterday (along with 10 others) because burrying my feelings knee deep in work is totally a legitimate coping mechanism 🤷♀️🐾
My Pike daughters are doing nice things crossed with Biggy this year! 6 weeks old and first time on the table 🤩🐾
Holiday weekend coming in hot 🎇🎆

We've made it about 36 hrs not wearing a 24 7 leash bc I can now touch near her enough to take it on and off. This morning she licked Sako's nose. Progress 🤷♀️

Foster beast has found her appetite now with consistent exercise and meal training. She was evidently still a bit hungry after dinner last night, and yes she did get a half cup more for asking mostly nicely 🐾🐺🐺
Bad news on husky foster names...the suggestions were great. We had an increase need for timely communication at home on Monday with some livestock drama, and the quick draw name that got used was in fact Catfish. We are trying really hard to not call her Catfish. Ps. Catfish bites if you touch her feet, which I figured on but did confirm 😂. She's got so much husky distrust, bossiness, and moodiness its comical at times. I had gotten her to allow slip lead to be dropped over her head or her martingale loop to be clipped after we made friends for a couple days. Today for her walk i wanted to try a ruffwear pack. Got the over the head part ok but figured the leg thru the harness portion to be an issue. I touched her elbow. She turned around and pointedly touch my hand with her nose. I heeded her warning. So I dropped a thin slip loop on the floor and had her walk in it. Pulled it up her leg like a lasso. She let it tighten and lift her foot. When I slowly extended the foot forward thru the harness she wheeled around and very pointedly tried to bite Maddie who was holding her leash, not once but twice bc she missed the first time. And only a husky could be so direct at blaming the human for this mild inconvenience in her life, whereas a normal dog would clearly bite the loop ON HER FOOT (Aka the source of the problem). But huskies are not normal. She is as pleasant as they come, as long as her world operates her way. 😂🫣🐾🐺 Her win: no backpack today. Her loss: tacked an extra 2 miles on her walk for being rude. And last I checked it's June. My win: we started muzzle training. My loss: she promptly ducked my next slip lead attempt bc she's pissed at me. But she likes hotdogs and stuck her head thru for one only after trying to coerce Tera into giving her the package instead of having to work for the one I had. Her face and 'tude is all husky but her height and outline looks a titch shepherdy to me. May have to do a DNA te
Volume up if you'd like a reference of loudness of the PulseVet Shockwave, whether we sedate or not is up to the patient. She didn't have a cat to stare through today but still did just fine, this was her third and final treatment, but we will recommend maintenance every 4 to 6 months following our exam findings and her active lifestyle!
Her birthday yogurt tub. 14 today🎂, there are no words to describe how naughty she still is. Keep on keeping on old lady🐾
Angus would like you to know we got the hose bins out. Farewell to our endless farmers carries of water buckets that is the winter. So long until hopefully not till after hunting season 💪💧🪣
A couple examples of what is commonly referred to as "cookie stretches" This is a great cervical (neck) range of motion stretch that is even incorporated some side body stretching of that lattisimus and attached fascia! Be careful not to rotate the head, try to keep the nose in a level plane.
Putting our PulseVet to work today! Leave it to a German to not be at all aware of her shockwave treatment bc she's staring at a cat! 🤦♀️💪🐾🩺
When you're not a husky or a pointing dog in a jacket pulling a sled in spring snow...feral coyote training progress! We personally have found a balance of positive reinforcement (food and praise) helps the tollers and brits grasp the concept of pressure based training. So many approaches and a balanced approach of shaping on the ground and then asking it to the table to add pressure works for us!
