Maddie finished up the weekend in 3rd place (of 4) in the non pro all breed class (i think 13 or 14th of 18 overall). Big learning curve at our first snow race, and first race for the entirely rebuilt dog sled. Our bar was low, and we met the goal of everyone lived and made it around the course both days.

3 miles is kinda Atlas' limit and the course was 4.4, but day 2 he ran in wheel so he could "chase" the girls and that plus better snow pack on the trail shaved over 2 minutes off their time!

For anyone that wants to watch, we are in Rhinelander next week at the golf course and it's very spectator friendly and will be way warmer than this weekend was according to the forecast.

Sako is due in heat any minute and was mastering the art of p*e spray whilst running full out-top quality life skill right there, and a good reason for goggles 😎

My evil kaneeval project Catfish was adopted, so now I get to play with this dude. He's not yet a year (probably close to it) and he is SO COOL!

Today we worked on getting to know each other (since the last time we met I was armed with a scalpel 🥜🥜), not jumping on me, the counter, a shelf, a neighbor etc, and becoming more aware of our body. With some fun mixed in to build value on a tug toy.

He got 2 car rides, met a handful of new dogs through co existing and having friends on a walk, met the clinic cats, smelled the cows at a distance, and passed the horses in the dark. His little brain cells are worn straight out 🧠😂.

He has tons of drive, learns quick, means well, and is not aggressive or reactive. His 1 blue eye 1 brown makes him look a bit whacko, but cest la vie.

This dog is going to be so damn cool for someone and he is EASY if you are the right person. I'm *guessing* shepherd husky but no DNA at this point.
He has ENERGY but not bad vibes as every mentally sound dog he met today accepted him as an annoying over zealous child without being offended by his existence. 🩵🤎🐾

You can work every day in law enforcement and not risk your life as much as doing this does. 😬

In this moment she opted to be kind...but its a fine balance of waking her from a deep sleep and losing a limb vs not taking her out p*e before bed and waking up to a puddle. 🤷‍♀️🐾👵

The dogs are quiet and tired today after the nice weather. Huskies did about 10 miles (well not the baby one) and the rest were all run and walked by Jenna and Maddie. Now for ridiculousness of Averi blowing us up with iphone stickers.

My question for iphone users is is it possible to make real stickers from photo stickers ?

How is it that these two youngens are so cute??? Winston is blowing tons of coat already so looking a little raggedy, but his birthday is soon so he will get a fluff and buff and winter weigh in 🐾❄️.

I'm obsessed with them both. They love to love. Assuming you're not a stranger, a coyote, a mouse, a hawk, or a dog who doesn't live on our property 🤷‍♀️

Check this dude out! He's less than a year old, a big blank slate (with no manners and lots of energy)! Relinquished as a "too much energy" malinois which clearly only the first half of that is a true statement. Best guess is the world's worst combo shepherd husky mix that backyardigans love so much to make.

He is dripping with potential, friendly, not reactive, and beautiful. He's ready to be someone's right hand man and best buddy, preferably someone who can handle a mentally strong dog.

Last night, this was 100% a choice as he was coherent and watching the world go by, wagging his tail if approached. He was just too cozy to commit to getting out of bed 😂.

The rest of his mouth was very healthy minus the bad 109 and 209 so hopefully no more dental work for a good long time!

When mom can successfully get the 2 bad molars out of the old boy but is never successful at remembering not to feed him breakfast, Jake has to step in.

The note was highly effective.

The problem? Leinie sleeps next door to V***n. And v***n screams bloody dementia murder for breakfast way before enough coffee is consumed to process her words. Therefore she is fed FAST to shut her up, because she's 1000 yrs old so it's not like waiting her out will fix the behavior. And since Leinie is her neighbor he's fed at the same time. So I fail at this, a lot.

This morning, I saw this magnetic chore list on the counter and my uncaffeinated gut reaction was annoyed he left it out and didn't put it back on the front of the wash machine where it goes after I saw him playing with it last night. Then my eyes adjusted and I read it and I was like ooooooooh, good call child, leave it in the way of the food bowls ✅️

So anyway, dental is done, old man is waking up🐾🦷
