Founded by fate in 1982 when we rescued a little crossbreed girl who turned out to be in pup, the Kilnhurst Clan has since evolved into a multi-generation family of Border Collies (Working Sheepdogs) and Miniature American Shepherd Dogs (previously known as 'Mini Aussies'.) First and foremost our dogs are beloved pets and constant companions. Most of the older ones have competed successfully in ag
ility, the youngsters enjoy Scentwork and Mantrailing and the veterans are retired to the sofa. Our versatile pups have gone on to make us proud in many venues including agility, obedience, flyball, KCGC, rally, tracking, herding and therapy work. We are based near Edinburgh (UK). The Clan has been busy this past month. Amongst their various successes (and holidays!) congrats today go to
~ Amaruq [Kilnhurst Kamali Seil] for his super win in G6-7Jmp over a pretty tortous course,
~ Kayci [Kilnhurst Killer Queen] for nailing her Rural2 Mantrailing qualification
~ and Ember [Kilnhurst Celtic Ember] for winning a G3-5Ag and collecting such an unusual sparkly trophy in the process. Although she doesnt look too impressed with it, sadly!

It certainly is for Tikka [Kilnhurst Cariad: Red Roadie of Kilnhurst x Bonza's La Jolla of Kilnhurst]
Tikka will be 12yrs next month but here she is still rockin' it and loving life in Anysize agility and hauling in the rosettes. In fact according to several other photos, she's still jumping Medium, over Anysize height - great ground clearance!
We love you Miss Tikka, your hooman's 'Little Red Indian'.

Pyro's second litter in Czechoslovakia - for kennel Czech Jakobin - is confirmed and due next month.
Red tricolour and red tricolour merles are possible.
Due to their extremely high standards in every regard and our long term friendship through Dynasty Minis, Czech Jakobin (www.czechjakobin.com) is the only kennel outside the UK that I have allowed our wonderful stud Pyro to be used by.
With two such super parents and prestigeous Dynasty kennel lineage, this litter will be of great interest to our European friends.
Socialising at the local pet store. Only popped in for a few bits but it took us an extra 15minutes to get through the checkout once the staff spotted her. Ash enjoyed some biscuit treats but her newfound celebrity status didn't earn us any extra discount, sadly!
