Cold Country Bulldogs is a small kennel located in Southeast Minnesota.

Our goal is to produce the best specimens the breed has to offer, and represent the American Bulldog in its purest form.

So the test results started rolling in. CCB’s Insurrectionist is now PH .38, .46, no DJD, OFA Prelim Elbows, Trachea, and Patella’s Normal. Embark clear with the exception of HUU carrier. We look forward to matching her up with a few complimentary breedings in the future! Thanks to Josh at Bulls O War for providing her with such a great home!

Anyone know what OFA test is being evaluated in this x-ray? Very few complete it, but for a brachycephalic breed it is one we have decided to track. Anyone know the law of physics associated and how it applies?

Roux got her turn as well. This was her first time out to the location. When I am out there, I feel like I am in a different country. What a way to decompress from a week and get the dogs a bit of exercise! Jersey Strong's Roux at almost 4 years of age!

Took Opie out for another session and to get some exercise. I love the different topography within the same location. You can see the many years of rock layers in the background, and a great sand area for working your dog out!

It was a day off as well as a warm winter day. I took Opie out for a hike and some ridge running LOL. He is such a bully, fun, and athletic specimen of the breed............

So this was a 15-16 minute treadmill session with Bloody Creek’s Opie. To my knowledge he is the most tested Classic AB male in existence.

This test was done with 2 females in heat running around the treadmill. So a ton of stimulation and excitement which often accelerates poor breathing. But I wanted this to be a true test.

First stop was at 5:15.

Second stop was at 10:30. He is breathing great! He is getting in the groove and pushing harder when he starts back up!

Third stop is at 13 minutes. He is starting to make a bit of noise, but no distress. He starts back up strong and pushes through.

Fourth stop at 15:00, same amount of noise as before. Starts right back up without hesitation and is pushing on!!

One of the most bully phenotypically yet fully functional AMerican Bulldog males in existence! There is a tipping point, and he is about as far as you can go before losing the ability to breath cleanly!

Our very first weightpull competition. Dual Champion Gaucho loved to please. The first black Bully American Bulldog Male Cuampion in breed history and foundation for the color movement in the breed. Also one of the best producers of great hips the breed has ever seen!

Catfish! Cold Country’s Catfish. This is Opie’s aunt. We never got a litter out of her but are lucky to have 2 breedings from her brother Wildebeest. We also have the most tested bully specimen in her young nephew Opie to move forward with. Type, health, structure, function, temperament!

This first video was of Wrecking Bull at feeding time. He loved his raw diet! You can see how structurally correct he is. I can honestly say at this point we don’t own or even produce anything that isn’t straight!

Thinking of letting a breeding unit off of these males go to the RIGHT female on a pup back deal. Wrecking Bull would be frozen, while Opie would be fresh chilled or frozen. If you have something I might be interested send me a DM.

After visiting this place last week, I knew that I could capture some great photos. The wildlife around the reservoir keeps the dog's attention. And as a photographer you just have to be present and ready. Nothing like returning home to see photos that weren't as clear or focused on the dog. Today I think I accomplished what I set out to do. Here is Jersey Strong's Witches Brew aka Roux!
