Paws to the Wall Paws to the Wall is a dog training business specializing in positive reinforcement methods. My name is Kevin Williams and I am a dog trainer from Morgantown,WV.

I got my start in the field by training service dogs while a student at WVU. It was while working with these service dogs that I decided I wanted to make dog training my career. It is a very rewarding experience to get to work with smart dogs and great people every day!

Early on in my training career, I was under the impression that retractable leashes were not a good thing to use. I was essentially told to share this information in my obedience classes.

I think it meant that they are a bad idea for indoor group classes primarily.

My opinion: Retractable leashes are a fun training tool and another solid piece of training equipment when ready.
