I post news, articles, posts about adoptions, and more. They are extremely popular, both with good and sometimes, the wrong people. That has a positive, and sometimes, negative impression on what is essentially a very loyal, dedicated, and loving animal, who usually does everything it can to serve it's owner and repay them with what it is they think that owner wants and needs. Let's teach them love, and lead them with love.

Simba needs a miracle! Please share him!

For over a year we have BEGGED for someone to give Simba a chance, because he REALLY deserves it after everything he's been through.
Unfortunately, like everyone else in his life, I've failed him. I have not been able to find a foster, adopter, trainer, rescue, or sanctuary that can help him.
I've never had to euthanize a dog with mild behavior issues just because we ran out of options, but that's where we are. Normally, I would bring him home and try to help or atleast give him a few days of being spoiled and loved inside a home but that's not an option. My leg is broken in five places, we have 7 dogs, and two young children.
I'll tell you what he needs and how you can help. If you aren't here to help, then CARRY ON, because I will not tolerate nasty or ignorant comments.
Needs:
To be the only pet.
A home without young children.
Extensive physical and mental stimulation daily.
A routine.
A fenced in yard.
An experienced and patient owner/handler.
Decompression time and a training program.
How you can help:
FOSTER (must meet the needs listed above).
Contact other rescues and sanctuaries.
Share.
Like.
Tag.
We have until TUESDAY 6/18 to find another miracle for Simba. He's located in Virginia but can be transferred ANYWHERE to an appropriate home or program.
When Simba was being abused at our local shelter and was just days away from being killed EVERYONE was on his side but the moment he was moved into boarding he was forgotten. His reels have had over 100k views and we still don't have one single application.

AWESOME SQUISHY IS STILL LOOKING FOR A LOVING HOME
Two-year-old, 54-pound mixed breed SQUISHY is a sweet dog who likes other dogs and loves welcoming visitors to the shelter. Shortly after arriving at the County Shelter as a stray, the staff discovered SQUISHY was deaf. However, he is very attentive, smart and takes direction well. He also loves playing in the kiddie pool and rolling in the grass on a sunny day. SQUISHY is $35 to adopt. Don't miss meeting this special guy! 🥰

All of our adoptable pets are vaccinated, microchipped & fixed. The Aiken County Animal Shelter's hours are 11:00 to 5:00 MON. thru FRI., 11:00-4:30 on SAT. & closed SUN. We are located at 333 Wire Road in Aiken, SC.

Sweet Goober Head Alert! Pottsville Pennsylvania - Meet adoptable deaf micro bully Dewey who is a 6 year old Rocker dog looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make him a member of the family and always keep him safe.

From his shelter advocate: Dewey is a micro bully that came to us as a stray severely underweight in January. We opened a humane case against his owner and recently Dewey was awarded to us. Dewey is happy, healthy and ready to move on. While with us, we’ve found that Dewey is deaf. He is going to need a family that’s willing to work with his disability so he can thrive.

Dewey does well with female dogs and some males. He is selective with male dogs. He also lives with 4 cats. He does like to chase the cats. Dewey would do best with old kids because he can be mouthy when he is excited. Sometimes a quick timeout in his crate is needed to calm him down.

Here’s the greatest update of all time to brighten your day!! Meatball’s post reached every end of Virginia and even other states. The power of simply hitting the “share” button amazes us every time. We have received MANY messages and calls about Meatball. (Please bear with us as we are working on getting back to each person). We received many adoption requests. Meatball spent almost an entire year with no one asking about him to suddenly half of America working hard to save him. We looked into every adoption request to make sure we found someone who understands Meatball’s quirks and would have the patience to work with him. He’s not an easy dog but that doesn’t mean he isn’t worth it. We are really happy to say we found his special adopter who understands him and can work with him. Meatball left our shelter a different dog. He has a doggy friend that he trusts and to say that’s a rarity is an understatement. He truly met his unicorn adopter. He was failed by people but now he gets a chance to rebuild his life and enjoy it this time. Making an honest post about a hard to sell dog and admitting you don’t know what their future holds isn’t easy but we knew it was a chance to save Meatball and find his happiness. It worked and was worth it!! Thank you for all those who support us and helped make this miracle happen.🥳

This is what a happy dog looks like. We slow down the video and see the look on his face, that deep breathing, when you go on the Internet to entertain yourselves, feel that feeling of excitement,increase your quality-of-life,… This is what getting out and exercising means to them.
