Meet Ruth, named by our friends at .
Ruth is a 2 year old Chihuahua. She loves attention and being held. Ruth loves to play with toys and is dog friendly. She will bark when she first goes in her crate but will settle in a few minutes. She is a runner and will need to be on leash when outdoors or in a secure, fenced yard.

Her friend, André, is also available for adoption.

🆘 🛟 please read to help this feline family!Good Sam’s called us yesterday to report a cat laying on her side as if she was about to give birth. ACO 8 responded but also noted something crusty on the back of the soon-to-be momma cat’s head. Unfortunately, it’s the fungus among us - yes, she has ringworm 👎😒 Before we could do anything else, she gave birth to 4 kittens. A new mother cat with ringworm is not for an animal control shelter to handle, we just don’t have the resources or manpower to carefully care for this mom, her kittens and protect the rest of the shelter animals. We are pleading for another organization to take her on so she can leave isolation at PAC. We are ideally looking for a transfer partner to take this family. At the very least, a foster would get her out of the building. Care of this family involves - isolation from other animals, lots of laundry, j***y clothes for the humans, anti-fungal treatments for mom which includes topical treatments (full body bathing is off the table for now) and careful monitoring of the babies. Treatment can take 6 weeks. Ringworm is zoonotic and can pass from humans to animals and animals to animals. Thankfully, momma cat has only one huge lesion on the back of her head. The ringworm gods blessed us with a good location at least.
