ACDC Rescue brings in strays, animals from owners and shelters in the Philadelphia region – locally! We take both healthy animals as well as at-risk or urgent animals at shelters that may have broken limbs or infections. Every animal undergoes an initial vet exam, Felv/FIV/HW testing (cats), receive microchips, age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter. Treatment for additional medical conditions is required for nearly 60% of our rescued animals, including many urgent or at risk animals.

My foster dad says I'm the best snuggler around, and I absolutely love to be scooped up for some cozy cuddles—it's my favorite thing in the world! Meet Calgary 🧡🤍

This handsome boy is a lovable, active little purr box. Playing with crinkle balls and chasing his kitten siblings are amongst “Cal’s” favorite activities. He also enjoys human attention and insists on a home where he will be snuggled, receive lots of pets and love. We believe his beautiful soft coat will be on the longer side, so it will require a fair amount of brushing to keep him handsome and tangle free.

Buzz lives up to his name as he loves to zip around chasing balls, stuffed mice and basically anything that moves. He also enjoys petting and head scratches, but he likes to get to know you a bit before he professes his love. He can be quite chatty if he’s trying to get your attention especially at mealtime. Meet Blue Indigo -— this little petite sweetheart will be the apple of your eye! She loves human attention and will weave in and out around your legs because she is so very eager for love. If she could speak she would say....”Hi friend please stop a moment and enjoy some time with me. Everyone seems so busy but taking some time to pet and love me would really give you a few moments of Zen - you won’t regret it! I will roll on my back and chirp at you and I also love to be held and loved if you have a few extra minutes to enjoy some cuddle time.

Our Story

ACDC Rescues animals from owners and shelters in the Philadelphia region – locally! We take both healthy animals as well as at-risk or urgent animals at shelters that may have broken limbs, infections, malnutrition or severe mange that are treatable. Every animal undergoes an initial vet exam, are heartworm tested (dogs) and Felv/FIV/HW tested (cats), receive microchips and age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures (if old enough). Treatment for additional medical conditions is required for nearly 60% of our rescued animals, including many urgent or at risk animals . Veterinarian care accounts for 81% of our expenses, so donations have a direct impact for the animals care.
