It takes a special person to love a fur kid with special needs or illness. Please share with furiends might be able to foster or adopt Paisley in Lincoln.
UPDATE: We have found a foster for Paisley and her chemo treatment will start Monday! We shared another post with photos on our page, just in case you missed it.

Miss Paisley needs help in Lincoln! This sweet and mellow coonhound mix is 10 years old, and in the last 3 months, she has become homeless and received a cancer diagnosis (lymphoma).
In spite of it all, her attitude is amazing and she makes friends wherever she goes. Paisley’s veterinarian thinks we can add to the length and quality of her life with treatment. Plus, we have a small grant to help cover her medical expenses.
What we lack is that special person who can focus on her needs for whatever time she has left (maybe 12-18 months, maybe less). She’ll need belly rubs and short car rides to her appointments. If treatment works, we’ll keep going. If it doesn’t, we’ll manage her care and keep her comfortable. Either way, we’ll listen to Paisley, give her dignity and let her tell us when she’s ready.
But before more time passes, let’s find this honey a home willing to share the couch. She’s fully house trained and good with children, cats and other dogs.
We imagine the right person can’t stop looking into her eyes in this photo. Perhaps that person is you. Or maybe you know someone who needs Paisley as much as she needs him/her. There are several ways to start the process… please post a comment, send us a quick message or submit an application via our website.
