We have a few new faces around here so we thought we would introduce the friendly founders behind Cuddly Boutique. 👋

The Cuddly Boutique is founded by Tom & Kimberley Bueno-Schonig over their mutual love of caring for pets (they have two dogs of their own, Gamma {right} and Waffles {left}).

Inspired by the success of their pet sitting and dog walking business, The Cuddly Cottage, back in 2018 - they launched their pet boutique in Dec 2019. They had learned about the preferences of their neighborhood's pets and owners, and thought it would be seamless to offer some dogcare essentials and toys to their clients as they grew to realize their needs.

Their petcare business was heavily hit by the pandemic and they lost 60% of our revenue so they made the decision to close it last year, but keep their pet shop. Fast forward - their idea grew into a full online shop. Th founders wanted a way to make owning a pet a little bit more special - even for their friends and family who live throughout the United States and beyond.

We are incredibly excited to share that we will be hosting our first Valentine's Day Pop-Up with Café Patoro! Café Patoro began at the Hester Street Fair, under a small tent operating only on the weekends during the summer months. From there, it grew to also be featured at the Bryant Park HBO Film Festival, Urban Space Garment District, and L.I.C. Flea. After receiving overwhelming feedback, it was time for Café Patoro to look for a place to call home. In January 2016, Café Patoro opened its doors with its first location in South Street Seaport. Café Patoro is run and operated by husband and wife duo, Geno and Ahla. While both come from different backgrounds, they have only one goal in mind: to produce the most delicious Brazilian cheese bread and share it with the rest of the world.
