Disability Inclusive Stock Images for Advertising, Websites and Publishing All photos selected will earn commission on each sale. worldwide.
Photographers and models with disabilities are invited to submit their photos for inclusion and portfolio hosting in our library. Our customers are advertising agencies, direct marketing and graphic design agencies, corporations, publishers and media companies, small to medium- sized businesses, as well as consumers. Success for the Library and our contributors is to have our images being used in
mainstream publication such as; brochures, company web sites, newspaper catalogues, resort web sites, tourism bureau web sites, tourist office information boards, magazines, annual reports etc. We represent 650 million persons with disabilities spending billions in travel and lifestyle dollars in economies all over the world. Yet, we are rarely seen or acknowledged in advertising and editorial images. Why is a small, yet powerful and growing segment of society not being seen or represented as customers? Increasing the positive imagery of persons with disabilities and who use mobility devices such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, guide dogs etc., will not only encourage further inclusion by increasing awareness that we want to participate and should be equally accommodated, but will help to eliminate the fear and negative stereotyping that so often permeates all levels of society.
“American adults with disabilities or reduced mobility currently spend an average of $13. 6 billion a year on travel*. Creating accessible cruise ships, accessible ship terminals, accessible ground transportation, and accessible tourist destinations is not charity. It is just good business.”
Dr Scott Rains. a US expert on disability issues
* This expenditure is expected to more than double by 2020
We feel that once we are represented by a true and complete reality of our lives; going on dates, enjoying activities and recreational facilities with our families, on the job, on vacation, participating in sports, going shopping, enjoying a glass of wine, a good restaurant, and all the good things life has to offer, it will be understood and accepted that we should be provided accommodations and consideration that recognizes how valuable our contribution really is to all these industries. We, through our image gallery, hope that by increasing awareness of the value in maintaining and making structural and attitudinal changes, it will encourage and sustain the participation of those with differing abilities around the world. We encourage you, as industry leaders, and professionals who make editorial and creative decisions to take a good look at how you can incorporate inclusion images and a welcoming message to this significant market. Browse our photo gallery and become inspired by these images, purchase those you feel represent your customers, or contact us if you would like to create a custom photo statement representing your specific interests and properties. We can provide just the concept, or anything from a marketing analysis, to the models, to the authentic and realistic portrayal of who “WE” really are.

We congratulate Naz on a stunning career and are sure he will continue to motivate and mentor the coming generations of people with a disability.
Celebrating International Day of People with Disability.
With over 20% of the population with a disability, and coming from all walks of life, lets remember that this is a huge market. Diversity and Inclusion is now mainstream and should be central to all product development, corporate strategy and marketing initiatives. IDPWD is not a single day of celebration, but rather a timely annual reminder to ask the question "How far may we progressed this year in embracing diversity and inclusion and what have we in place for next year to further the initiative".

A great video put out by Wesfarmers on the importance of Inclusive Advertising. Disability is now the largest minority group in the world and it is the only minority group that anyone can join in an instant. Depending on the industry, the spend by people with a disability, their families and friends is now between 14 and 20 percent of the market. It is not just a matter of representing the 1/5 of the population with a disability but it also sends a strong message that we value you as clients. Wesfarmers are certainly leading the way but any industry and any sized business can be inclusive in its marketing. Whether it be a private photoshoot or using a selection of stock imagery. The important thing is that the imagery is authentic and only uses real people with a disability. Peruse our collection at http://photoability.net
