MEET SAM - He was found by a kind member of the public, who was very concerned for his welfare, after ringing around, she called us, and we were very happy to take him. When he arrived I must say we were shocked at how poorly he was.
He was rushed to the vets as an emergency this morning and has been on IV fluids all day, he will return to the vets in the morning to continue IVFluids for a further day, he has a low temperature of 33 degrees, and is acutely anemic due to fleas, he is extremely thin. He is keeping calm and quiet tonight on a hot pad.
Thank you to the lady that made sure he came to us and was not put back in the street, we promise to help him through this and hopefully find a loving home where he never has to go hungry again.
We rely hugely on you all to look out for vulnerable cats and kittens as we believe EVERY CAT COUNTS
Thank you for caring
Tina❤️❤️

Thank you so much, love Tina xx💕💕💕
MEET. JACK JACK - handsome, clever and adorable❤️❤️❤️ Jack Jack came into us about 18 months ago, in a very poorly way, suffering from a gastrointestinal infection, which he was hospitalised for almost a week. He also was not in good place mentally. In time he has begun to trust us and now loves a quiet home but with company. He loves to cuddle, and sleeps with you, he loves his fish flavoured foods, and also enjoys tuna and salmon treats. He is a truly wonderful boy. If you think you could offer him a lovely home, please get intouch
Thank you so much❤️
URGENT HELP - we have four extra units going up this week, in order to try to help desperate cats and kittens, this week alone we have had to bring 18 cats into the sanctuary, as they had no where to go, many of them are pregnant . It is extremely stressful here trying to juggle things to help the most in need, and we know we are approaching 300 cats and kittens. Please if you can offer a home to give any of them a family, where they are safe and will be looked after, get intouch by either filling in the adoption or fostering form or ring me on 07796950817. It is a commitment and you should think about all the costs involved especially for adopting kittens, who will need to be neutered and vaccinated.
Thank you so much. REMEMBER our drop in Saturday’s from 11-3 come and meet us
Thank you so much
Tina xx

DECKING KITTENS - UPDATE - All doing really well, they were 125 g when they came in, now they are 170g after just a few days, they have their own little personalities, and the grey baby dreams a lot. Lots of the volunteers have taken their turn at feeding. We are extremely happy, that they are getting stronger.
QUICK UPDATE on Black CAT who for now we are calling Louis who has a badly broken back leg, we are trying to find his owners. Today he has weed which is really good news, hopefully we will have more news on what can be done with his leg in the next couple of days. He is eating and taking his medication. Bless the poor baby
Tina xx❤️
BEAUTIFUL MORNING - Some of the cats relaxing in the early morning sun.
Thank you so much to you all for your support. If you have contacted us to Adopt or to Volunteer a huge thank you, we will be in touch today.
With your help, we will help as many cats and kittens as we can❤️
AMAZING UNITS - wanted to share some exciting news, that finally in the next few weeks we will be able to errect the brilliant 40’ units along the wall here at the sanctuary, which will mean lots of cats and kittens can enjoy warmth and shelter here. We have had these units here for over a year now, but without the decking that went with it, we were unable to afford the flooring to go with the units, until we were given the decking the other day. Mark, Phill and Geoff, worked incredibly hard to bring the decking back last Sunday which was a long way away in Crewe. Thank you so much, we are so grateful to you, now we can go ahead in the next few weeks and have these. Brilliant units up for the winter ❤️
SATURDAY DROP ins Please don’t forget to if you are thinking of adopting, why not pop along between 11-3pm every Saturday to meet all our wonderful babies
Cassie and Socks who love children, would love to see you. Xx❤️

TRANSPORT. BABIES - you may remember last week, we picked up these little babies, found at a transport company, they were living in a large box of packaging destined for Amazon, luckily for them the wonderful staff there placed them in a safe place and called us, mum took quite a while to get, but after a week they are all very much settled and enjoying their new accommodation. All four of the babies ate been rehomed together, which will be lovely for them, and mum will look for a nice quiet home soon, she is a gorgeous little girl.
Thank you to the lady how is taking them,, I’m sure they will be very spoilt
Thank you to Dougie and the team at the transport company, because if your kindness it is a very happy ending💕
HOPE - do you remember on the 9 th June I showed you a little kitten who we were trying to help and his 3 other siblings, they were very poorly and suffering from ‘fading kitten’, a cruel illness that effects young kittens.
I am delighted to tell you nearly a m month in and so much medication, time and effort by the team, the kittens are now back permanently with their family and seem to be doing well. They are now 5 months old and tiny, but are starting to grow. We will be keeping a close eye on them and hopefully in a couple of months they can look for their special homes
Thank you for your support

WHO JOINED us for breakfast, Maria who actually is our beautiful timid girl who used to be a ferel cat but loves the sanctuary cats but not ready for a cuddle yet, we love her
A SURPRISE BREAKFAST - I wonder who will share this
STEALING - Always some mischief going on, these are the trolleys that we use to feed the cats and kittens with. There are usually some other helpers around. We are very proud that Burgess Animal Feeds have agreed to to sponsor us, and provide most of the biscuits for the cats and kittens, it is an amazing help. Adopters also get after bag of biscuits and tote bag
Our running costs are still over £11,000 a month, and this is a huge amount to try to find, we are really hoping that Opening of our Charity Shop in Filey will help with our costs. Please if you can help by adopting or donations. Then please help
Best wishes

BREAKFAST - sometimes the Sanctuary cats here enjoy breakfast outside, whilst the weather is so lovely. Please if you have room in your heart and family to welcome a cat or kitten, please get in-touch and complete the online adoption form or ring me if you need help. We are especially needing homes for more shy cats who need patience and love, but will make amazing sweet and loving friends when given the chance to grow in their own time
Please help if you can, but only if you can give a forever home to them
Thank you so much
Tina xx💕
NEW ARRIVALS - we were called out today to a local transport company, who went to move a pallet and a kitten appeared from the top of the box, it was high up on shelves and outside and they were worried for their safety. After the kittens were secured, it was felt that they were young and still would be taking milk from mum, we therefore left the kittens near the trap in their carrier and hoped mum would come back. On the 4th visit she was in and the family ate reunited and getting to know their surroundings.
Thank you Dougie and team for caring and been so helpful today❤️
We have over 30 kittens and over 200 cats desperately seeking loving and safe homes, please fill in the adoption form on the website if you can help, the form is now working again after a few problems during the last couple of weeks
Best wishes

A WET DAY - HI everyone, what a dreadful day it’s been today, when is summer coming…
I thought you might like to see a video of The Village, which is an area of temporary units to accommodate the increasing demand for help, this area mainly is for the moors rescue cats and cats who prefer to be more outdoors.
If you can help by giving any cat or kitten a loving and safe home, please get intouch by either ringing 07796950817 or filling in the adoption form on the website
I’m sorry that things have been delayed recently, but unfortunately we have had some serious rescues which we have had to travel to help cats in danger as well as do many local rescues which I will share with you tomorrow. It is an extremely stressful time with so many babies needing help❤️
Thank you for all your support.
Love Tina xx
