That’s a whole lot of prevented litters!! Great job Yakima 👏

Our jobs not done though. There are hundreds more dogs and cats that need to be altered to help curb the pet over population problem in the Yakima Valley. There’s no such thing as an “accidental litter”. If your animals are unaltered, you can expect an unwanted litter.

My lil mama's babies turned 4 weeks on Thursday!
They are the sweetest bunch. The girls are a bit smaller at 3 pounds or under.
The boys are just under 4 pounds
Momma weighs 20 pounds and is a very nice little terrier mix maybe schnauzer ??

Meet your outdoor adventure buddy ... Sully!

Sully is one handsome guy. He is a Husky mix, about 1 year old, and weighs 72 pounds. He is neutered and UTD on his vaccinations. Sully has a sad tale ... he was found as a stray, his owner was located but they did not want him back 🙁

Sully is friendly with everyone he meets. He currently resides with a 5 yr old and does well. He does good with other dogs and loves to play with the BC in the home. Sully does chase cats if given the opportunity.

He spends time inside and outside, is house trained and keeps his outdoor kennel clean too. When outside he doesn't climb fences 😀 If he gets dirty playing outside, no worries, he loves baths.

Sully is an active boy so an active person/family would be great. He does pretty good on a leash. He's a smart boy and ready to learn.

We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Meets and adoptions take place at our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.

ANNOUNCING . . . Valley Spay and Neuter, a low cost spay/neuter clinic by YVPR.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to open this clinic in the Yakima Valley and provide another resource for residents of Yakima County to obtain spay/neuter procedure for their pets.

Valley Spay and Neuter Clinic will be located in Harrah, WA at the former Harrah Veterinary Clinic. The clinic will operate 3 days each month with appointments available for both dogs and cats.

We’ve put together a list of items needed to help us get ready for our next clinic dates in June. The Amazon list is comprised in order with things we need most at the top. We are a small rescue, fully comprised of volunteers. We work with a community who is in dire need of our help with rehoming their animals and/or altering them. This leaves us underfunded and overworked, as most of us are throughout any type of animal welfare group.

We see the need, we hear your calls for help, but we can’t do this alone. We have taken a huge leap opening this clinic. We need continued support from our community locally and throughout WA to be able to run this low cost clinic each month. We have the capability of altering upwards of 100 animals each month. This will be SO impactful over time!

If you cannot help financially, consider volunteering your time at our clinic. Using volunteer power helps us keep the prices low as possible for the community.

Milo and Oliver are 8 week old Chiweenie pups that were bottle fed from birth due to their mom passing from pregnancy complications.
Milo is golden colored with white toes, he has one ear up and weighs 3 pounds while Oliver is golden colored and weighs 2 pounds 10 ounces.
They will be listed for adoption today at yvpr.org/adoptions
Please share these chunky little monkeys , they are looking for their forever homes, their sister has already found her family.
They have had their first round of vaccines and have been de wormed twice.
These tiny guys are real cuddle bugs and will be great companions for some lucky families looking for love ❤️ 🐾

Here we have the sweetest and most adorable girls you will ever see. Weighing just shy of a petite 3lbs, these Yorki/Chihuahua mix princesses were born on Feb 19th 2024.

Luz and Eclipse were an unplanned litter and they both are looking for their forever homes. Both girls are friendly and sociable. They are young enough that with training and proper introduction, they will do fine with cats that like dogs and respectful children. Luz & Eclipse love to hang out with their mom and play with each other.

Please remember that these are puppies and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be. Both are up to date on vaccinations. We are inundated with Mom‘s and pups and stray pregnant dogs, as well as irresponsible pet owners that failed to keep their pets safe. For God sake, people!
These dogs should not be mamas!!!
They need to be spayed by the time they reach six months, so this doesn’t keep happening😣 we were dealing with another stuck puppy incident that happened on the weekend (of course) so off to mid Columbia pet emergency services in Pasco and an emergency C-section, resulting in three dead puppies, and a bill of $3,378.!!!!!
We sure could use some help with this bill 🙏🏻😭🥺our hearts are breaking for these poor suffering animals💔❤️‍🩹
Help us if you can, we are doing our best to stay ahead of all the need but we could use some support and prayers
