❤️‍🩹We got a call about this sweet one year old girl named Lady that was shot in the shoulder by her owners neighbor 4 days prior to him calling us for help🥹she was not able to put weight on her front leg and the owner doesn’t have a veterinarian or a car and had no means to pay her bill. After getting her an initial visit to find out what was needed, the x-ray showed her shoulder was shattered and beyond repair, amputation and spaying was in her best interest. We are thankful that Yakima Valley veterinary clinic was willing to see her, keep her all week, do the amputation as well as spaying her!!!🐾👏🏻🐾🙏🏻🐾👍🏻🐾😘
We have not heard back from her owner since Thursday and it appears his phone is not working currently so we picked up this big girl yesterday and will hang onto her and keep her safe until her owner gets back with us. She is getting around really well and doing amazingly good with her 4 foster siblings, she hasn’t been crated and is super calm and sweet, sleeping though the night and taking her meds like a champ. If anyone would like to help out with Lady’s veterinary bill, please donate at Yakima valley veterinary clinic

Thank you to Kelli for donating $100. Towards his veterinary bill, he will need to go back for follow up visits.

More dumped pups we assessed yesterday 😭these 3 were left out in Herrah to fend for themselves, found last Sunday and thank goodness someone cared enough to collect them and get them to safely🥰🐾❤️we are hopeful the 2 boys can get to the west side of the state with one of our partner rescues we work with weekly…the all black one is the only female and she is going for a veterinary visit to have that large hernia checked, that is not something we see often and it doesn’t look good 😭
What a sweet and cuddly trio of pups they are. These are the luckiest pups to have been spotted and saved, there are hundreds more that are not so lucky.
Wishing little Venus luck with her diagnosis, please keep her in your prayers 🙏🏻

Yesterday we assessed these 6 dumped pups from Naches Heights 🫤prayers they can get to the West Side of the mountains with one or more of our amazing partners🙏🏻at 4-5 mos old, the smallest weighs 30 pounds and the biggest is the only male, he is cream colored and has one gorgeous blue eye, he weighs 40 pounds exactly…all were so sweet and engaging, big and goofy pups that deserve the best that life has to offer now that they have been rescued👍🏻😘🐾and are with a wonderful Good Samaritan (he has his hands full with these rescues and the other rescues he has, including a rescue donkey🥰thankfully we have amazing people in our area to balance out the ones that are just not good to the animals 😭

We received the sweetest donation from a young man who's family adopted their dog from YVPR in 2020.

His leadership class project at school was to do an Act Of Kindness and he thought about his sweet dog and where she came from. He sent braided toys and treats for our foster dogs.

Mason, thank you for thinking of YVPR and sending gifts for our foster dogs. They will love them and greatly appreciate your kindness in thinking of them. Good Luck with your class project presentation ... we know you'll ace it 🐾

This beautiful lady is Beth Chapman. Please Share and help her find a home of her own.

Beth Chapman is a black and tan Roti mix (our best guess) about 10-12 months old. She will be spayed before being adopted.

A note from her foster mom:
Meet Beth, the gentle giant! She is 84 pounds of pure love and kindness, and is between 10-12 months old. She was found in a rural area the day before thanksgiving, and has been a welcomed addition to her foster home ever since.

Being towards the “tail-end” of her puppy stage, Beth can be rambunctious. Sometimes she wants to play with her older roommates when they just want to nap, and they let her know. She takes their hints with grace.

Occasionally, she dips her paw into the habit of digging, which is something she is working hard to kick. This sweet girl walks well on a leash, is crate trained, sits on command, and has never had an accident in the house.

She currently lives with two other large breed dogs who greatly enjoy her company. While she has met children and cats for very brief moments with no issues, she hasn’t had the opportunity to reside with them yet.

Is Beth Chapman the dog you've been waiting for? Please fill out the online adoption application at: https://yvpr.org/dog-adoption-application/

Beth Chapman's adoption fee is $250

Please Share Merlot ... She's a great dog and deserves a home to call her own.

Merlot was found living on her own with her puppies at an old trailer. When our volunteers returned to get her and the puppies, someone had taken the puppies and left her behind!

Our best guess is she is a Labrador Rottweiler mix. She's about 2 years old and weighs approximately 50lbs. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Merlot is social, affectionate and eager to please. She is engaging with her people and loves being petted. She has been around children and loves them, and greets everyone that comes to the farm eagerly.

She has come a very long way in her foster home. She has had some one-on-one training with a trainer. She’s learned basic manners and how to interact with other animals. She does great with horses, adult chickens and other dogs. She is house trained and does well on a leash.

Merlot spent a few days at the YVC Vet Tech program and did really well during that time. She had a meet and greet not too long ago and she did very well with the meeting and the people like her, but the potential adopters dog was not a fan.

Merlot has been listed for adoption going on a year now and she really deserves a loving family of her own.

Please fill out the online adoption application at: https://yvpr.org/dog-adoption-application/

Merlot's adoption fee is $250
