Moon and I are having a delightfully dreary morning, and he's sporting his teeny hoodie like a boss! It's a mite cool, but when the fog burns off, I'll post a pic of his fantastic progress.
This little scamp spends his days fixated on tennis balls, munching on couch treats, and doling out sloppy kisses because that's his jam. And, naturally, his two legged minions reward him with snacks and all the cuddles.

Hey guys,

As I woke up with my morning routine with moon. I got my coffee and took him out and the sky was absolutely beautiful. I got an alert on my phone that erie animal net work had posted. I never turned the alerts off ever since moon was missing. But today I seen another dog missing. I'm part of other groups of missing animals as well in the pa area. Because well the way moon was hauling ars 8 miles a night I wanted to make sure.

But back to the alert, it took me back to constantly looking on these pages hoping that someone would post a sighting or saying they had him. Back to feeling all those emotions and just looking at my boy thinking my goddess you could still been missing. He's home tho and so so much better!

I want to give some advice from my experience with my dog missing:

🚨as soon as your dog is missing, put your clothes out in the are he/she went missing. You wouldn't believe the nose on these pups that can smell! 7 miles at least. They smell your clothing or their bed 10 to 1 they will stay in that area. Put food and water out.

❣️share your dogs picture everywhere when I mean everywhere I do mean every where that includes printing signs and putting them up! The brighter the poster the better. Not everyone has social media!

🐶call animal shelters around you. Inform them. Give description of your fur baby with your information so they are able to be aware As well. Even vets.

⭐️EVERY DOG IS DIFFERENT. Just because your dog has been lost and you found him/her in this amount of time does not mean you know what someone else's dog is gonna do. Same as breeds different breed different ground cover.

💕this is more for people who want to help find the lost dog, if the owner say don't or please stop you listen... I understand some just want to help, then listen to the owner. Don't try to be the hero cause you could also be the reason the dog gets hurt.

💫 if your dog has been gone for more than a couple days reach out to a professional. They can help. Don't try to do it alone.

🩵when you do finally get close enough to your pup. Sit down do not Chase them they already are scared and using a deep voice may also scare them. Just sit down and call them over. Talk to them.

DO NOT GIVE UP!!! My moon was gone almost 3 months. I don't know how he did it but he survived. Went all over but still survived. Vent to family scream it out. Your gonna think of the worst and that normal. Do not feel guilty for that. You are gonna blame yourself mistakes happen. Cry if you have to but do not give up on your baby.... they give you unconditional love and protection. When they go missing it's your job to find them. Don't give up.

I know I did picture of him yesterday. But somebody went to the vet today..
How much weight do you think he gained?
Went and got him a pet cup afterwards for his good behavior.

Note to add never let him have one in the car.😂😂😂😂😂

Day 22 of moons healing journey.
Gonna spread these updates some. He's healing and that's the import part.
Making him go through any change that isn't necessary i will not do to him. I have had a few people make comments about what I am choosing todo for moon and that is completely fine, but this beautiful boy is my fur baby and I am doing what I think is best for him. I have had so much help and out reach it out weighs the negativity. I will continue todo what I feel is best for him.

Edit to add: this isn't about the updates posting it's more of the choices I have made for him and sticking by those choices. I Will not put moon in any danger of regressing on his healing nor put him in a situation to make him feel scared ever again.

Moon got another goodie boxs and in it was a cute sweater that I can't wait for colder weather for him to wear. Thank you so much Barbra!
