Agility Videography Day at Y2K9s

Have you ever wanted a super sleek, high definition video of your dog doing agility? Have you ever seen a slow-motion video that really captures the athleticism and dexterity of our amazing dogs? Y2K9s is hosting an opportunity to have your very own high quality agility video on Saturday, June 15, shot and edited by Zak Winokur (www.zakwinokur.com). This video shows a sample of what Zak will capture and create for you as part of your purchase. This package will include: - 15 minutes of ring time on the turf with Zak to run a course or capture any training you want to include in your video - An approximately 90 second video. The video package includes a horizontal video which will be delivered in 4k, and a vertical video will be optimised for social media. - Zak will send a follow up email after the shoot with a few music options for the video. Appointments will be scheduled between 10am-12pm on Saturday, June 15. (Option to add more appointments after 12pm if there is a lot of interest). Appointments will be for a 15 minute time period with a 5 minute buffer between each, so please come early. There is no expectation to work your dog for 15 minutes straight, of course! You will have time to give your dog breaks and speak with Zak about what shots you're interested in! There will be no refunds for this purchase, but you may sell your time to another person and email [email protected] to let Lynsey know. Although the shoot will take place on the turf with an agility course set, we're open to folks who don't do agility, but want a video of any other training or skill.

AKC Fit Dog Skills— Wednesdays at 2pm Starting next week! During this fun fitness class for healthy dogs , you and your canine partner will learn how to safely do gentle conditioning stretches and perform basic moves that strengthen core and limb musculature and promote body awareness. CJ is hosting an Introduction to Parkour Workshop on Sunday, September 10 from 1-2:30pm! Requirements: Basic Manners or equivalent Description: Find out what parkour is all about and learn some basic skills to get started Cost: $25 for members, $35 for non-members. CJ’s Parkour class helped this young pup develop the shaping skills to put all four feet in a box! What new behaviors could they shape next? Our next class session will begin the week of 9/11/23 and run for seven weeks! Registration opens August 28 for returning students and September 1 for students who are new to a class.

If you're looking to get started in Agility and your dog has taken at least Basic Canine Manners (and preferably Advanced Canine Manners, or Sports Prep) with us, opportunities to take Agility Foundations 1 have opened up on two evenings! Agility Foundations 1 is the first class of our agility skill building curriculum intended to set teams up for success in the sport!
