Preparing for Cyclone Alfred
🌀Be aware of hazards and secure loose objects
🌦️Lacerations, cellulitis, dermatitis and hoof issues are common problems with rain and flooding
💧Have Malaseb or cleanser on hand to clean your horse after the rain event
🌦️Make a plan to evacuate if flooding becomes a problem or move to higher ground before flooding
🌀Stock up on feed and water as well as any medication your horse may need
⚕️Make sure your first aid kid (see below) is fully equipped with bandage material, cleansers and anything else you are low on
💧Learn how to ID your horse with a luggage tag, grease paint, or spray paint

One of my wonderful young students Kelly and her gorgeous QH Bentley!
These two have been working hard on getting to know one another, and building that trust and confidence. I believe this is massively important if you're to have a great working relationship with your horse, no matter what you do with them.

Kelly is learning all about body control and core strength and gaining skills on riding Bentley more effectively so they can start to go out and enjoy the world!
Here they are enjoying a moment after a lesson ♥️

An update on the beautiful patchy Princess miss WB Kaleidoscope 🩷
Zoe and Storm have been having a great time getting to know each other, and even scored themselves a win in the 6 bar out of 25 combinations, the last fence being 1.35! Zoe has said Stormy gets lots of looks and compliments wherever she goes and is a much loved part of her team 🥰

Poor orange kid was tired after his big trail ride yesterday 😅
So we just did a light ride working on some laterals - first time working on trot laterals and he picked it up very quickly 🧡

Baby orange had his first proper xc schooling session! It was a lot of fun for me to be back out over some fences, it's been a while. But I think Twistee also had some fun and he really got the hang of it. Nothing phases this kid!

This handsome devil had a Christmas tradition thrust upon him last night and he took it like a champ!
A group of us got our horses together, dressed them up with tinsel and lights, and rode the streets of Beaudesert spreading festive cheer! It was a lot of fun and the residents seemed to enjoy the sight (and the snacks we had!) 🩷
