As everybody knows how hard this last year has been on the Rescue world, we decided to join together and to offer an amazing night while also raising awareness and much needed funds for both rescues.
Currently both rescues, face veterinary costs of over €15,000 each, never mind the daily cost of running the rescues.
Animal welfare is at an all-time low in Ireland. Animal abandonment and abuse is at an all time high, and its because we take on the more unrehomable breeds, husky rescue Ireland with huskies and Akita’s and us with lurchers and greyhounds, things have been very difficult recently, but this is not a pity post, this is to have a great night, meet the people behind both rescues’ and dance the night away while raising much needed funds.

💖 Sienna is a beautiful little 7 month old husky / Shepard girl. Currently she has had to come to the centre but she absolutely hates being in her run, I think it’s possibly a trigger for being in the shed for so long! To get her confidence back, her trust back and just being a dog she needs a foster home ASAP!

Blondie & Foxy are currently in temporary kennels but we need to find them urgent foster homes because they need to move on Saturday 🙏🏻
These little husky / Gsd sisters are only 7 months old and hadn’t a great start in life. But they have been socialising and learning while in the kennels and are ready to go to two separate foster homes.
🐾 Blondie 🐾
Blondie is a playful, energetic little girl. Her favourite thing is her toys and to play but she also likes to chill out and relax. Blondie is very good with other dogs and children. She could get on with cats, but she would need a bit of training in this regard.
🐾 Foxy 🐾
Foxy is the quieter of the two girls and can be a bit apprehensive. She is a very clever girl and likes to watch everything that goes on around her. She is more independent than her sister but still enjoys playtime with the other dogs. She is also great with kids.

✨He has a very quiet nature, and is still shy but he gradually opens up to new two- and four-legged friends.
✨Alfie may be stubborn at times, but he's also quick to learn. With patience and encouragement, he's making strides every day. He would thrive with someone who could continue with his training.
✨Alfie would thrive with a female (pending meet and greet) who could show him the joy of playing and being a happy pup.

✨ Fifi is a total sweetheart, she adores people, is very affectionate and anyone who meets her quickly falls in love.
✨ She is very smart and loves to learn new tricks.
✨ Fifi walks very well on her lead, but does get stressed in busy, built up areas and for this reason we think she would be best suited to a home where her walks can be in a quieter environment, whether that’s in the countryside or a nearby forest walk.
✨ She loves her toys and teddies, and carries them with her everywhere 🥰

✨ Bruno was born with a deformity in his front legs, he has had one operation on them, but may need another in the future.
✨ Despite this, he loves his walks and is very well mannered on his lead.

Dante - 3.5 years old Dante has been in foster with his amazing foster mom who has been working extremely hard with him so we can find him the right home! Dante would need a home where the owner will be at home or someone is at home all day! He should with other dogs although Dante can be a bit dominant during play but thankfully he’s learning that he doesn’t have to be. He needs an owner who is experienced with dogs and able to further his training, he’s a lovely friendly boy who just needs consistency and a loving home with companions. He is currently living with cats but they tend to stay in a different part of the house so that would be your own responsibility! He could live with older children who are dog savvy. Our resident dog Cosmo is turning 14 today!
Cosmo is our golden oldie, he came to us when his owner sadly passed away.
We had begun preparing him for his new home when we realised that his health was beginning to deteriorate, he was showing signs of dementia, and ultimately we realised the best possible retirement home for Cosmo was right here with us 💙
Cosmo knows his routine inside out here and loves it. His kennel is right at the heart of the centre where he can watch all the comings and goings, he has a special bond with our kennel manager Orla and looks forward to her arrival every day, and despite his age he’s never lost his love for a good game of fetch!

✨ Akitas are some of the most loyal, intelligent dogs you can find, although many are shy of strangers, once they’re given the chance to open up they will be the best friend you could ever have.
✨ Akitas are a very special breed, often requiring large dog experienced owners as they just don’t compare to other dog breeds. They’re sometimes considered to be more cat-like!
