All Things Plaid Maddie, Mollie, and I are owners of All Things Plaid; custom plaid dog collars/leashes. Riley Anne quickly stole our hearts. We love her as much as she loves us.

My plaid obsession started in 1985 with an addition of a tiny five week old Westie puppy to our family. Four years later, we decided she needed a little sister. Corkey, our first Scottie, added more excitement to the family. Both girls have gone to Rainbow Bridge after long and very spoiled lives. In 2002, a five week old Matelyn Rose came to reside in the Carter household, a birthday present from

my husband. (The best birthday present I have ever received!) Mattie added much entertainment to our quiet house with all of her Scottie puppy antics. She now rules the household as all of you canine lovers will understand, and attends all of the dog shows and conventions with me. In the fall of 2011, I convinced my husband that we needed to adopt a 6 month old Scottie rescue. Maisie has added much joy to our family. We lost Mattie at the age of 15. Later on we added rescues Lacie (RB) and Mollie. We were also very excited to add Maddie, our only Scottie from champion bloodlines. I have been appliquéing since 1984, selling at a local store and various craft shows. When the National Rotating Scottish Terrier Specialty Show came to Louisville in 2005, I decided to be a vendor. All Things Plaid began. I was well received and have been concentrating on Scottie items ever since. I have found Scottish Terrier people to be just as loyal, loving, and faithful as their little dogs. (I won’t mention the stubborn and independent traits!) Terrier people are truly a “one of a kind” people and I am blessed to know each and every one of you! Susie Carter

Our Story

My plaid obsession started in 1985 with an addition of a tiny five week old Westie puppy to our family. Riley Anne quickly stole our hearts. Four years later we added more excitement to our family with Corkey, our first Scottie. In 2002, a five week old Matelyn Rose came to join the Carter Clan, a birthday present from my husband. The best present I have ever received! Miss Mattie, my shadow and constant companion, ruled the household as all of you canine lovers understand for 15 1/2 years. She attended every dog show and convention with me. All three girls have gone to Rainbow Bridge after long (and very spoiled) lives.

In the fall of 2011, I convinced my husband that we needed to adopt a 9 month old abused Scottie rescue from STLSTR. Maisie, our resident monkey, added much joy to our family. In 2016, another STLSTR picture of an abandoned 12 year old little Scottie girl melted my heart. Lacie immediately joined our family. Every one of our girls have had very different personalities and we have loved them all equally. My girls always travel with me as they run the show here!

I have been appliquéing since 1984, selling at a local store and various craft shows. When the National Rotating Scottish Terrier Specialty Show came to Louisville in 2005, I applied to be a vendor.
