Hi everyone! I wanted to share a couple updates…
1. Lola was bred this weekend to Rush, and we are hopeful we will have a yellow litter due mid May! We will find out in about a month if the breeding was successful 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
2. We have a 5 month old chocolate female that we had originally held back to continue to evaluate for our program. As we have continued to watch her develop, we have come to the difficult decision to place her in a pet home.
When I first started Odie Acres, I knew I wanted to keep our program small enough that our dogs could live in our home with our family instead of in a kennel. In order for that to be possible, we have to limit the puppies we hold back. My goal has always been to better our program with each generation, meaning we will only keep a puppy if they are better than their mama when it comes to meeting the breed standard. As she has continued to grow, I now feel she is developing equal to her mom and does not meet this goal for us.
She is the sweetest girl with an excellent temperament and will make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a companion. She is potty trained, crate trained, and has completed a basic puppy manners obedience class. She is doing very well with learning all her commands and leash walking.

March 2 must be the day of c-sections for us. One year ago around this time I was bringing Lola home from hers, and now today, Ayla welcomed 2 beautiful baby girls via c-section as well. Everyone is healthy and doing well. I will share some pictures once everyone is settled in and gets some rest!

Happy 1st Birthday to our Mojo x Nala litter! How fitting that it’s a snow storm today, as there was a huge snow storm the night they were born as well!

We have had several inquiries recently about availability for our yellow litter this spring, so I wanted to also share a quick update on our planned Rush x Lola litter. We are still waiting for Lola to go into heat, and are expecting this to happen anytime now.
This yellow litter has been a year in the planning, so we do have several people already on the waitlist. We are always accepting applications towards our waitlist, with the understanding that we can never guarantee availability until puppies are here, healthy, and we know exactly how many of each gender we have.

Just wanted to share a quick update on our Earl Grey x Ayla litter!
We had Ayla’s ultrasound and confirmed that she is pregnant - however at this point it looks as though it may be a small litter (possibly only 2-3 puppies). Ultrasounds are not accurate for determining litter size though, so we do have an X-ray scheduled for closer to her due date that will give us a more definitive puppy count.
Assuming this litter does only produce a few puppies, our waitlist for this litter is currently full. If we end up being surprised with a bigger litter, we may have some availability open up once the puppies arrive, and will keep you all updated!

A few days late, but here are their 6 week photos! They have grown so much this last week. We are working on getting comfortable in a crate. They are now all eating dry puppy kibble, and we will be introducing them to the snow this week! ❤️

5 weeks old! These babies are getting so big! They have graduated from puppy mush to soaked kibble. We are continuing to work on introducing them to different sounds and textures. They love to play, and are starting to show more of their individual personalities. 🥰

We are almost 4 weeks old now! We are awake more and starting to play with each other. We all have teeth and are LOVING our puppy mush. We are starting to explore toys, working on litter training, and soaking up all the attention we can get! ❤️

Happy 4th Birthday to our beautiful Nala! You are the sweetest girl with the perfect mix of playful but also so laid back and gentle with all the little kids. You are easy going and have no problem going with the flow no matter what our day looks like, as long as you are by our side getting snuggles. Also, you sure do make some beautiful babies ❤️

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself to you all. My name is Amanda, and I am the face behind Odie Acres! I have grown up with labs my entire life, and I truly believe there is no better family companion.
I am married with four young kids, and I am lucky to have a family that supports my love for this breed and having a house full of dogs. We live on five beautiful acres outside of Green Lake, Wisconsin, so our dogs and kids have plenty of space to run around and play.
I spend a lot of time raising each litter, socializing them and introducing them to different sounds, textures, and experiences, so they become the best possible members of your family. I carefully plan each litter, and choose studs that best compliment my girls, with a focus of health, temperament, and correct conformation. I only produce a few litters each year in order to give the time, love, and energy I believe is essential in raising a well bred Labrador.
