Not only is this extremely dangerous, it is actually illegal in the entire state of RI.

Well, it’s dangerous and can even be fatal. If a dog is riding in the back of the truck and you suddenly have to stop on your breaks, you take a turn too sharp, you forget to close the tailgate, this could prove fatal for the dog.

My trainer and veterinary colleagues and I dislike these leashes for so many reasons!

Retractable leashes allow dogs more freedom to sniff and poke around on walks, but there are many downsides to this type of leash.
