Finding A Best Friend Rescue Finding A Best Friend rescues and rehabilitates abused and neglected animals. We are a nonprofit that is funded 100% by your donations (no other assistance).

mals that no one wants, the underdogs, the lost causes. We give them that second chance and help bring out their true personalities and confidence. We treat all our rescues as if they are our own, which means we make sure that the new home that they get is as loving or even more. Our goal is to find homes for all our rescues and make sure that they have the love, stability and structure that they need and deserve. We consider our adopters an extended part of the family and keep a close contact with all of them. We also are a resource to them and we are here to help them. As a small family non profit organization, we depend on your donations and appreciate your donations. Our mission is to rescue and help bring awareness to animal cruelty. Our wish is that one day our rescue will go out of business because every animal in this world would be saved and would be able to live in peace.

Meet Tyson! He's a fawn and white AKC registered Bulldog! His pedigree is only outmatched by his charming personality. Tyson is 4 and is 70-75 lbs. He is friendly, playful, smart, funny, and curious. He loves food and is very food-motivated.

He has everything packed for when he finds his new home, including a kennel, bed, toys, collar/leash, food, allergy meds, and all paperwork showing AKC registration and veterinary care. Current parents rescued him but unexpectedly found their Down Syndrome child doesn’t do well with him. Tyson is up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, housebroken, kennel trained, good with the other dogs he meets but has had no interaction with cats or other children. He is allergic so he has to be on a special diet and takes an allergy pill every day, which is keeping his skin clear.

Seeker is a clever girl with lots of energy! She is athletic, confident, curious, friendly, funny, and playful. She is an enthusiastic and outgoing girl, but she is also sweet and cuddly. She loves a comfortable bed, couch and lap! Seekers age is unknown but we believe she is between 2-3 years old. Seeker would be a great companion and would do great with physical activities, like hiking. She wants to share adventures together! She'll follow or lead you anywhere. Seeker is an explorer at heart! There is not much that seems to bother her as she's very adaptable. Seeker is treat motivated and loves sticks. She will need some basic training but is very eager to learn and responds to corrections easily. She's crate and dog door trained. Seeker gets along well with other dogs if introduced properly. Cats are unknown.

Seeker is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Meet beautiful BENITO (aka Daredevil)! This guy thinks he’s a wild, reckless, animal. In reality, he’s just a little guy who is very playful (shhh, we don’t want to destroy his ego). At night, he is a sweet, loving, cuddler who is a part of the biscuit-making factory. His purr machine is non-stop! We always say he looks like that little black kitten from the Disney short film Kitbull (about a black stray kitten befriending a sweet pitbull who is misunderstood). Benito thinks he can take anyone down, including his big doggy foster brother, Huey! Huey just goes with it… As much as a savage Benito thinks he is, he's really a softy.. I am a young female shepherd mix, and I am about 6 months old (which makes me a teenager in dog years). I love doggy and kitty friends! I am very eager to please! Desperately seeking home for German Shepherd

This sweet girl is one of several street dogs Finding A Best Friend Rescue in conjunction with railroad employees in Stockton have been catching and spaying. Once in a while a dog will stand out from all the others and steal your heart. And she has, and we named her Princess. There is a pack of 6-9 dogs we are catching and altering and giving medical treatment to. When we caught an old sick guy and got him fixed and a wonderful forever home, Princess disappeared for several months and during that time had a litter of pups. When she finally showed up again, covered in ticks and fleas, she had two puppies with her but then they disappeared. It’s anyone’s guess what happened to those poor babies. We caught her in time before another litter came. I can’t stand the thought of putting Princess back on the streets when she has recovered from the spay. She has no chance at all in the shelter thanks to all the back yard breeders trying to make money off the poor dogs they possess or the people who are just too selfish to take care of their pets and get their pets fixed. There are tons of shepherds among the tons of dogs in the shelter. In the US a dog is euthanized every 11 minutes.
Princess doesn’t deserve this horrible life of trying to survive because some idiot has at some point decided not to be bothered with the responsibility of owning a dog. She can’t help herself beyond forging through trash for her next meal. Litter after litter has been her fate when she can barely fend for herself. Yet she has no control over her situation. We want to help her stop this horrible life of survival that won’t end well, and find her a home. We desperately need an adopter or a foster home for Princess. We have no place to house her. If you adopt she comes fully vaccinated and spayed. If you foster all costs will be covered by the rescue. If you think you can find room in your home and space in your heart, please pm me for an application to adopt or foster. An adoption application and home check by the rescue is mandatory because her next owner will be one who loves and cares for her forever. We will make sure of that. And we have 6-8 others looking for the same help. Rescue and shelters and responsible pet owners are tired. We need help.
