What to do once you have bought a puppy and have been given the papers?

Your breeder is listed as the first 'owner' of your dog, and they should have signed the 'transfer of ownership' section on the back of the papers.

To transfer the dog into your name, you will need to complete the details of the new owner - which may be an individual, a partnership (2 owners) or a syndicate (more than 2 owners) - and then lodge the original document with Dogs Victoria, along with the appropriate fee.

The pedigree papers will then be re-issued with the updated ownership details printed onto them.

You will need to become a Dogs Victoria Member and complete the transfer ownership if you plan to compete in shows or trials, if you plan to breed, or if you intend to claim discounted dog registration with your Local Council.

Show update
We will be in Rings 1 & 7 sunday and monday from 0830
Morning tea each day will be scones ----free to exhibitors, made by the fabulous Marion Gray
Photographer for the weekend will be Teresa Guidio
Silent auction on both days, will be drawn on the monday at end of lunch.
Selection of framed prints and gorgeous statues on offer.
Drinks and nibbles post the show each day during trophy presentation.

— Sunday 9/6/24 0830 baby puppies dogs followed by bi***es with class run off
—- normal Classes follow babies
—- Property classes in lunchtime break approx 12-1230
—— neuter classes and runoffs will follow Open bitch prior to Best in show then class runoffs
——-Drinks and nibbles will be offered by the club during awarding trophy awards.
Monday 10/6/24 will follow same format with Parade of veterans and new champions in the lunchtime break
Both judges will be in attendance only on the day they are judging so please stay to socialise after the show with a drink.
