This morning Little Girl had her kittens!!! So far 5 new lives at the rescue.I'll update when I can on the progress.For now mom is resting and eating and taking excellent care of the new bundles of joy.

So got a surprise this morning.Nubnub one of my ferals brought me three kittens.Two black and one grey.The grey has a nub tail just like the mom.Odd to have kittens so late in the year but I figure it was because she lost her last litter...she didn't bring them to the porch nursery like the other moms do....so soon I will have pics up of three late year babies being all cute.For now I'm letting them settle into the nursery and letting Nubnub have her privacy with them so she doesn't take them off.

So my old man Rocket is always dependable.I can always count on him to help new fosters to settle in.He snuggled with Buttercup so she would have a warm body to lay next to.He even cleaned her a bit after she got messy from eating.

Little backstory and context.
My nieghbor and myself take care of the feral colony in our neighborhood through the rescue group and him with his own money.People know we take care of ferals.
Yesterday he came knocking on my door and said "I think one of your kittens is over at my place." I told him I didn't have anymore kittens this season but I'll come look.He takes me over and there is this tiny baby just screaming for attention when we walk up.I scoop her up and she immediately started to nuzzle and purr and cling to me.She looks to only be about 5 weeks old.Took her back home and set up the bathroom for her and got her wet food and water.She ate like she was starving.She then curled up in the clothes basket and fell right to sleep.
My husband and I discussed it.We think someone dumped her off knowing my neighbor and I look after the ferals.This baby is too human attached (Finding that out this morning) and has no reaction to my other cats which makes me think she has been around other cats.She's playful and not afraid.
Please...if you have an unwanted kitten,don't just dump them off on the streets.Especially if they've been living inside a home.They won't survive on their own.Take them to a reputable shelter or place them up for adoption.Don't just dump them like trash.They are not trash and can bring joy to someone's life if you just take the time to find the right home.

meet some of my feral moms....Mommy Pepper, Mommy Starbaby, and Mommy Lil Girl.Couldn't ask for better mommy cats.They take on babies that are orphaned and help take care of each others babies too.

Woke up and went to do my morning feeding...my ferals left me a prezzie on the porch...a frog.Normally it's crayfish but I guess with the lack of rain they caught what they could to bring to me.😆
