IGNEOUS REX?

igneous:
(ĭg'nē-əs)
1 Relating to rocks or minerals formed by the cooling and hardening of magma or molten lava. Basalt and granite are examples of igneous rocks. Rex:
Latin, literally 'king'. But also the name of thousands of awesome doggies! Here’s my story, the short version:
I’ve had dozens of pets over the years, and when that sad time comes, I
was always slightly annoyed at the look of the stone memorial plaques that they offered at the veterinarian’s office… an exact copy of a photograph, laser-etched in granite, with perfect lettering (but not perfect layout) alongside the photo of your pet. The quality of the original photo scans and the detail of the laser-etching keeps improving all the time, to the point that the granite image looks exactly like the submitted photo. Scanned at 1000 dpi, the laser etching captures photos exactly. I once saw dirty laundry in the background of an etching. But still, I can even sometimes see the pixel pattern when the computer turns it into a scanned image, or visible horizontal lines where the laser shifted by a nanometer as it was going back and forth. My problem: It looks like a robot did it, because a robot did it. What we create is a 100% hand done diamond-etched portrait. Drawn by a human, ‘old school’. We can edit or enhance anything you like, and you get a tight sketch for approval before we start. The result is a much more personal piece of art, more tactile and organic than just a scanned photo. Like a great portrait, I like to keep the words on it to a minimum, which makes for an easier and better looking layout. Suitable for wall hanging, on or in the ground as a marker, on your mantlepiece, or just on your desk for a nice tribute. Your animal friends do not have to be deceased to get a fantastic portrait created! If your pet is still around, take some great photos of them right now!!
