First is a Pair Game/Serama hen and rooster. The hen just began laying. Must stay together.

This 3yr doe would make a really nice milker on a homestead as she is milk stand trained. She would also be a nice addition to your herd if you want a goat to practice showmanship with. She is a sweet natured goat all round. She is currently in milk as well.

The past few days have been busy here!
Kidding season started and ended for now, I have a couple does due around January.
We have been blessed with some beautiful kids!

🔷Jubilee gave us a larger single buckling. He will be available. (10/30/23)
🔶🔶Summer gave us two stunning doelings. Both retained at this time. (10/31/23)
🔷🔶 Merida(Mer) gave us a bucking and doeling. The doeling will be retained for now. The buckling will be available as a wether. (11/2/23)
🔹🔹Carmen gave us two stunning bucklings but they were sadly born DOA.
A total of 7 kids, 5 healthy and thriving! Thank you Lord and give me and these animals the strength to keep going.

I just recently added an absolutely gorgeous pair of Narragansett turkeys!

Narragansett turkeys come from a cross of the Eastern Wild Turkey and domestic turkeys brought over by European colonists.

Narragansett turkeys are a rare breed that I plan to expand in numbers.
I’ll be collecting eggs and hatching soon!!

Late post but Elouise and her kid Pico have gone to their new home!
I’m going to miss that little buck so much but I know they both went to a fabulous home. The same home that took home Bonnie! So the sisters are back together!!
Thank you Brad and Lauren for providing such a great home, again.

Well, the show was a good time.
No wins but Buffalo Clover NIK Ares did place first in ring 3 and went up for Grand and Reserve Champion. As I continue to attend shows, I learn so much about my goats as well as gaining experience and letting my goats learn the routine.
I’m grateful for the opportunity and the people I have met along the way!

Finished our first show of the season.
No wins but I am VERY proud of how these girls behaved in the ring. This was the first show for each of them. A 5 yr old, a 2 yr old FF, and an 8 month old junior. I’m happy for the experience gained for both my girls and myself.

Well you guys the past two days have been rough..
Last night my brother noticed Maverick acting strange. After I looked him over I started him on fortified vitamin B complex and Penicillin G every four hours. So no sleep for me last night. Today, we took him to the vet. He was curving his body, sort of star gazed, and just not really aware of his surroundings. We were given a butt load of antibiotics and said he needed extra TLC and that we are just treating his symptoms. He has some type of bacterial infection that is messing with his neurological abilities. Okay cool, got some meds, he’ll hopefully be good.
Well, we get home and we unload the truck of groceries, then I go outside to check on Astra. Who we all have been waiting for to have her kids. She decided today was the day and it would be in the cold rain….she had triplets! Two does and a buck, Yay good news..only one was cleaned and alive. one was almost completely clean and the other was still in the sac. We missed it..if only we were a couple minutes earlier they could still be here. But we do have a beautiful doeling that was our survivor and for that we are grateful. It’s just heartbreaking at the same time. Raising livestock is a hard gig yall. It really tests us.

Hatching has been underway for a couple of days. Look at these chicks!! More in the incubator. There are a few silkie chicks in the mix, one bantam, a few leghorn mixes, a few Andalusian mixes, and some are just a mystery! Lol. All Backyard Mixes have the same dad, a Golden Cuckoo Maran. Silkies are pure-no mixes- I also just reset one incubator with 8 more silkie eggs, 5 eggs out of my Black Breasted Mahogany w Dutch bantams, and 8 Yokohama eggs!! It was a good evening to rake up one of the doe pens. Ridding it of leaves, old hay, rotting leftover pumpkin, and poop. I did leave the leaves by the tree limbs so they’d still have some to munch on. ‼️BABY GOAT ALERT‼️ Bonnie is having her kids!! (I know I said she, but it’s a boy!)

Ever since my Guinea hens were killed by a coon, my Guinea Roo has been so sad..well, I got some keets from a local friend about a month back, and now that they are old enough to be out of the confines of a cage, my Guinea Roo has taken them in. He is so happy! He again has friends to play chase with and is teaching them where the best places to scavenge for bugs are. 😌

Oh how I am thankful for the rain!! It went from brown and yellow crisps to this beautiful green lushes grass!

Whelp, we didn’t make the pond all fancy before the rain, the geese and ducks love it just the same. -the pond this morning-
