So we are training them now to Pine wood pet bedding. They have taken to it very well! I would recommend getting a litter box type crate and training them to the crate at your place since that is what they will be used to here. They will be experiencing so many changes and new things when they get to your homes. This will be a familiar smell to them and hopefully bring comfort along with all the hugs and kisses they will be getting 🩵💜💚❤️🧡🤍🩷🖤

Ive had a few people ask what “Redlen Pups” means or how did we get the name. Here is that explanation… My dad was a true dog whisperer. He loved them, his name was Fred. My mom Helen, was a dog lover as long as they were someone elses dog at someone elses house lol.

But my parents grew up in the great depression, had 3 children pass away before their own passing. Were married 64 years and died 9 months (almost to the day) apart. I never realized, or appreciated, how much they went through in their lives to survive everything they did. My goal when having this litter is to donate the money to different organizations. One that helps find trafficking children and now the Crisis Canine of the Midwest, where Jelly Roll will go on to earn his badge. He be placed with a handler that has a badge from some kind of first responder.

In that, I feel like I am honoring the two people who taught me so much about how to always work hard, be ethical with integrity, be kind, compassionate, understanding, respectful and to love all, no matter the color of their skin or who they love. My parents were not perfect and I pushed their buttons A LOT, but at the end of the day I wouldn’t trade them for anyone!
To honor their memory I came up with
REDLEN
F(red)
He(len)
The last 3 letters of each of their names.

So no, REDLEN is not a franchise lol.. just me loving dogs and finding a way to give back through the pups🩷❤️🧡💚🖤💜

Little Dolly getting a drink then going over to p*e on the wood shavings. We are training them to the wood shavings now vs paper. They are doing great. When you bring them home, you can do wood shavings in a littler box type thing and put it by the door you want them to p*e out of. Then move a few shavings outside then all outside then into the grass.. you get the picture… we are trying our best to make sure they are very successful in the potty training time.

We are SO EXCITED AND PROUD of our little jelly belly roll🩵🩵 after the interview conducted by Dr.Smith she said Jellys parents were amazing looking parents and soon as she picked up Jelly Roll she said he will be perfect! I can’t explain how honored we feel to be part of such an amazing organization! Jelly Roll will go into the world and help so many people🩵🩵 AND as he grows and becomes a permanent placed pup, they will continue to tag him on this page to show what he is up too🩵

This little guy was generously donated to our program by Redlen Pups! In a few weeks, he will be placed with a foster family until he is matched with his First Responder handler.

Foster families have a vital role in our program! What does a foster handler do?

🐾 cares for a pup as part of the family
🐾 transports pup to veterinary visits
🐾 attends classes with other teams-in-training

While in foster, Crisis Canines of the Midlands:

🐾 provides all necessary supplies for the pup’s daily care
🐾 schedules and covers all costs of veterinary care
🐾 covers all costs of training classes and equipment
🐾 provides boarding at no cost when needed by foster family.

Good news!!! Reba and George are heading home together 🧡💚🧡💚 they have always been best buds, now they get to live their forever lives together!! They have an awesome family awaiting them.. a 10 year old boy and 12 year old girl are going to be SO EXCITED!!!! (Sshhh don’t tell they have no idea) I would not be the parent that could keep that secret!! So fun though!! Excited for them all.. hopefully we will get to see video reactions 💚🧡💚🧡
