We had a wild weekend! Mr. Michael and Miss Sara came Saturday 4/26/25 to help. Floors got steam mopped, sleep cabinets were swept out and clean bedding but back in for us.

Sunday 4/27/25 Miss Donna and Mr. Bill came to get the property cleaned up, lawn mowed and w**d whacked. The R.I.T. students of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc came to help and play with us. They did many, many jobs Mum had posted on the Duty White board. Mum says we are blessed to have so many to help keep the shelter, and property in tip top shape. Thank you all!

Mum was at it again! She took the D-5 business to the Animal Science class at FLTCC, in Flint NY. on April 22, 2025 https://ferretfarm.org/ferrets/D5/D5.html

There were 26 students that Mum taught about ferrets, and answered questions about our shelter, where we live. Mum let the students hold us and pass us around to love on us. We had fun hanging out with the students. It was a good day for all of us.

Miss Sheilla notified Mum and Facebook that this is a fake profile.

We do not ask for donations on this page, cash or otherwise. If you befriended shelter mum in the last day or two remove yourself from the latest request to be friends.
Mum does not request friends. We are afraid this scammer will ruin the shelter reputation, please contact Mum if you get or have gotten a request to be friends.

Hello cyber friends and shelter supporters,

We had a grand day yesterday, R.I.T. students with the silver wings organization https://www.aas-sw.org/silver-wings/ came to help. Wow we had 9 of them here. They helped get the summer furniture out of the garage, washed it down then came into the shelter to help. We had a great time following and playing with the students. Chasing the broom as they swept the floors.

Mum says we are blessed that so many come to help take care of us.

A message from shelter Mum,

It has come to our attention there is a rumor going around that the Lakeroad Ferret Farm Shelter is closed.

That rumor is untrue. The shelter is currently at capacity, but as ferrets are adopted we will resume taking in ferrets when we have room.

Miss Tina took two of our shelter ferrets home with her, they have a new 4-ever home.

Hello cyber friends and shelter supporters,

We had new volunteers join us last Saturday to help Mum get some things done around here.

They came from Rochester Institute of Technology; alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc.There were 6 wonderful ladies that not only did the duties Mum had on the white board but spent time with us and loved on us. They got a lot done!

Miss Anny H. Vice President Service reached out to Mum to see if they could come to Naples to help Mum and hang out with us. We had a wonderful time when they were here. Mum took a picture of the group holding us before they left for home.

We have happy news. The Long island 4 have found a new 4-ever home, they left this morning with Miss Danielle and daughter. Look at those happy faces!
