Our 2026 shelter calendars are in the works. The printer sent us the proofs, Tina and I made the corrections and changes, we should have the calendars in our hands no later than the end of November.

We are keeping the price at $15.00 + shipping.

Hello cyber friends and shelter supporters!

The The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority came to volunteer on Sunday November 9, 2025. The sorority sisters mixed food, cleaned water fountains, and food stations. Carried heavy things for Mum, emptying the yucky bucket, putting the 5 gallon food buckets in the food closet, carrying a case of water bottles from the basement to the shelter. They spent time playing with the D-5 business.

The D-5 had a grand time playing with the sorority sisters. We are blessed to have had them come help.

We had a wonderful crew come to help at the shelter on October 5, 2025: The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

They put all our summer furniture away and stretch wrapped the cages that had been donated over the summer. They then came in to see our shelter ferrets, spending time playing with the D-5 crew and the Muppet business.

Thank you Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity for all your help.

The Lakeroad Ferret Farm Shelter lost a ferret Dad, and shelter supporter/volunteer on Saturday June 14, 2025.

Mr. Tom came into our lives in 2019; he became a loyal supporter. Tom is the reason we had shelter calendars for the past few years; he covered the cost of the printing. Tom adopted several ferrets from us, worked our raffle table with Miss Mary Ellen on clinic day. He would spend the day helping Mum treat the ferrets with Revolution, weigh the ferrets, record their weight with the date of treatment. If things needed doing Mr. Tom would come to the shelter to get it done. The two ferrets; Millie and Mr. Butters that were living with Tom will now be living with Miss Tina. Miss Tina is our board member secretary.

Tom will be missed by many of shelter volunteers/supporters.

Hello cyber friends and shelter supporters

We had a wild weekend! Mr. Michael and Miss Sara came Saturday 4/26/25 to help. Floors got steam mopped, sleep cabinets were swept out and clean bedding but back in for us.

Sunday 4/27/25 Miss Donna and Mr. Bill came to get the property cleaned up, lawn mowed and w**d whacked. The R.I.T. students of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc came to help and play with us. They did many, many jobs Mum had posted on the Duty White board. Mum says we are blessed to have so many to help keep the shelter, and property in tip top shape. Thank you all!

Mum was at it again! She took the D-5 business to the Animal Science class at FLTCC, in Flint NY. on April 22, 2025 https://ferretfarm.org/ferrets/D5/D5.html

There were 26 students that Mum taught about ferrets, and answered questions about our shelter, where we live. Mum let the students hold us and pass us around to love on us. We had fun hanging out with the students. It was a good day for all of us.

We do not ask for donations on this page, cash or otherwise. If you befriended shelter mum in the last day or two remove yourself from the latest request to be friends.
Mum does not request friends. We are afraid this scammer will ruin the shelter reputation, please contact Mum if you get or have gotten a request to be friends.
