Established 2016 Providing functional gear since 2016.

While working on a cattle ranch in Montana, learning the vaquero style of horsemanship, I observed the pride riders take in the gear they use. The best tack makers are able to craft gear that is attractive and hard wearing. My mission is to extend this philosophy to the llama industry crafting products that pay homage to western traditions while meeting the unique needs of llama owners.

Hi Friends,

As you may have been able to tell due to changes on this page - I am resurrecting and refocusing JM Llama Gear.

As part of this I will have an in-person booth at the Lamapalooza show this weekend (June 23rd and 24th) in Austin, MN. Here is a preview of what will be there. I will also have some lead ropes for sale.

JM Llama Gear would like to thank Cory of Black River Dog Training for his custom order.

This rope was patterned after the Trailblazer I posted last week but includes some custom features like brass hardware and a ring for carrying the lead out in the field when hunting with dogs. I’m a huge fan of how this turned out!

I didn’t get a fancy photo before delivery but am glad to see it in action.🙂

Two new ropes for sale!

The first is one I call the Hunter Lite - braided in orange with a black tracer this rope is great for being seen in the wilderness!

The second is a new pattern that features Hunter green, chocolate, and cream. This is my first time working with this pattern and I love how it turned out!

The Trailblazer.

This 6’ rope is a nice mix of olive, black, and orange making it perfect for hitting the trail with your llama or canine friend.
