The Missing Piece to Our Puzzle
We are a large, diverse family composed of a multitude of abilities and special needs. We could not have dreamed that one day we would be here, having built one of the most non-traditional families with complex needs we could have imagined. We have found ourselves, at so many times in our lives, given opportunities to enrich our lives while helping others. This is what has brought us together as The Heggs Family.
The most recent opportunity to add to our family has been with our three beloved four legged members! We have always had a four legged family member. After losing our long time family pet Cocoa to old age, we began our two year search for just the right breed of dog to add to our family. We were looking for a dog that could act as a therapy dog for one of our adult sons, as well as an overall great addition to our family! Over the course of our research we came across just the dog that could meet all of our needs...the Multi-generational Australian Labradoodle, proven to be exceptional family companions! Their steadfast temperament, fun and loving personalities, eagerness to learn, and non-shedding, hypoallergenic coat fits incredibly with our family and lifestyle. Australian Labradoodles are well known to be trained as great therapy or even service dogs. After doing our research and realizing what an exceptional breed of dog the Australian Labradoodle really was and the potential these animals had for truly enhancing the lives of so many, especially those with disabilities, we wanted to develop our own breeding program.
