FINALLY! I got one fall off today, which yes, I know doesn't mean much but hey, one fall off may be all it takes this time! 🤷‍♀️ I've been trying to get Shaboozey to breed to Pretty Penny and he is just too immature I think, he just couldn't for the life of him figure it out. 😅 Gosh, was that so irritating to watch but finally he figured it out enough to get one fall off so I am praying to the God's 🙏🙏🙏 that was enough because I think this would be an awesome pairing!!! 🤣

She looks a little rough, her and her 8 week old litter are giving out free haircuts.. 😅 Luckily they can only chew her bottom half so she looks peg-legged and not her face. They have hay to munch but still can't give up the fur.

I love this 10 month old doe though out of Mother Thumpers Brandy, You're A Fine Girl who now resides with Brooke at GrumpyVeteran Rabbitry. She has the blockiest, cutest head and ear 😍🥰

So.. while I love Cody's Kenji... I think it is time to introduce another buck. I have been looking for a buck - no particular color - BUT I only want it from Cody's line. I have my hollands looking the way I want them so I want to stick with the line that works for me instead of introducing another line that is going to modify my "look" again.

I DO need help with a thicker ear and could use a wider shoulder but I'm mostly concerned with a thicker ear.

I want either a Cody buck or a son out of a Cody buck.

Yes, I know I could go directly to the source. I.. 1) have a toddler 2) just bought a house 3) just bought a rabbit shed and 4) have a car payment. I can't afford it. So I think my best bet would be a son.

I have been keeping an eye out on some breeder pages that I think have Cody's line.

Ken is still my best producer and I will continue using him. He just can't add ear substance. Or shoulder really.

I'd even take a tort believe it or not. That would be fine with me. 😂

I would have to use wild hops transport or Jenn with Pet Taxi because the others routes are always crap for Michigan/Ohio (always first stops) so if they don't come to the breeder I can't get it... obviously California and WA are out.

So far we have 2 ✨️ new ✨️ litters out of 7 or so breedings. We were doing good all summer and now we hit a wall. We've had 1 premature (aborted) litter and 4 misses. We're going to keep trying though. 🙂 I have some beeeeeaaaaauuutiful doe's that I'd like to be able to rehome babies from, not for cash but just to once again share my lines and hopefully get them to other breeders that can build off of them and perfect the rabbits even more than I can. I do not ever want my rabbits to go to people looking to make a quick buck off of lineage or that do auctions to increase revenue. 👎 You know what a rabbit is worth, no need to get people fighting over them.

So far I have an older litter of 4, 3 black 1 otter, and 4 nestbox, 3 otter 1 black. The littlest are out of a chocolate tort but I do kind of have an idea for that litter if they turn out well enough.

I do not rehome anything I wouldn't use. Lines, parts, offsetting feed bill, etc don't matter to me. I won't rehome for quick money, the whole rabbit has to have type or it's culled.

SMALL BUSINESS APPRECIATION POST

This was the absolute SWEETEST lady I've ever met!

She makes these carpets that would be great for those travel grooming tables! The design is actually in the fibers so it will not peel off. The blankets are SO soft and the design is the same way, in the fibers!

Christmas is coming and these would make great gifts!

I'm sure it would be fairly easy to ship them as well!

I'm not a fan of the judge we had. He likes long ears and really didn't take time to pose the hollands. 🙄 But all of mine had great comments.

Cody's Kenji - 4th/6 (said out of coat - he's not he's very much IN coat probably the best he's been all year)

Mother Thumpers Pretty Penny - 4th/14 (crown is too tight which it is 😉)

Mother Thumpers Thirst Trap - 8th/14 (said out of coat which this one I do agree with, but literally had nothing else bad to say)

Mother Thumpers Iron Maiden - I forget but she should've been higher.

Mother Thumpers Shaboozey - 4/5 excellent comments just needs to mature. Said he's very promising 😎 I think he also should've been higher he had the best hec on the table. Judge got a laugh at the tattoo SHABOOZEY.

No big wins. Didn't like the judge. Wish I would've signed up for B to have a second opinion but oh well, I didn't want to be here all day. 🤣

Mother Thumpers Shaboozey is coming out this weekend to show. He's a junior still. I love everything but those fat front feet. I still think he will become an excellent future herd buck though.

🙃 Well.... I did a thing...

WAPAKONETA here I come November 10th!!

I'm ONLY showing in show A, 5 hollands. It just takes way too long to get through 2 shows so I usually only ever stay for A. Plus my baby will most likely be at home with dad and I hate being away from my baby. 🙃

I have been away from showing for like 3 years. I'm pretty sure my last shows were in 2021! I had a good run from 2019-2021! I won one BOSV with Mother Thumpers Carbon Copy and multiple 1st/2nds with Mother Thumpers One Hot Ash. Some hollands I sold like Mother Thumpers Dory won for other breeders. It's been a really good run for me. 😄 Truly blessed 🙏 I'm excited to jump in once again but NERVOUS!! I've been out for so long, what if my hollands haven't changed with the standard view of hollands..

I'm excited to see what happens. I've been at the bottom and close to the top!

Unfortunately only 1 black otter doe.. and she's really cute so so far she will be a grow out.

The bucks I won't need and not planning on keeping any at this time past 10-12 weeks. If they're ugly and I don't think they will mature to be more then brood I'll cull them. I try to not sell ugly rabbits that have nothing to offer someone's program other then a good set of lines behind them. Those really don't help improvement at the end of the day. 🤷‍♀️

SMR Elvie (chocolate tort) delivered 6 normal babies this morning, bred to Mother Thumpers Grover (black otter). 1 lighter colored one like the baby on top was already passed (looked stretched) and this other lighter colored one was having trouble breathing and just passed tonight. But so far we still have 4/6 looks like black otters!

I have to get pictures of my older litter as well. My grooming table is still back at our old residence but I'll hopefully snag it soon. We've just been so busy with moving I haven't even gotten all of my rabbit supplies over to our new house yet. Those babies are soooooooooooo cute though!!! 😍

I'll hopefully be offering a few to a new home.. I can't keep all these babies... 🤫🤭

Much better!! 😌 I've decided to list this guy, Mother Thumpers Grover - SSB - 9 months old. 💥 He is NOT cheap 💥 I'm okay with keeping him! I really don't need him. I have waaaaaaay TOO MANY nice nice nice bucks right now, including his solid black brother. I plan on breeding him to a couple more doe's before he leaves but he's ready now. 🙂 My opinion: 🐇 He has nice type 🐇 Very cute 🐇 He is very small 🐇 Never shown but I think he's too small to be competitive in ARBA 🐇 May do well in 4-H 🐇 Sweet but shy in his cage so may not be good for young children 🐇 Breeding to doe's now and he's quick to get the job done 🐇 No guarantees on how he will show (good or bad) 🐇 Could use a touch more bone and mass 🐇 Short shoulder 🐇 Pair with a big brood doe (could help doe with length of shoulder and midsection!) 💫 I get first buyback (must be willing to sign contract) 💫 Not for someone looking to make a buck off of him later on. Be ethical and honest and rehome him for what you paid regardless of show career or "proven". Will work with door to door transport. POOS

Never thought I would ever have another tort... but here we are. We LOVE Shaboozey!! Mother Thumpers Shaboozey 🐇 BJB ** Everyone has a different idea of the standard! I feel like most are building more upright hollands which is okay! I still prefer the short and stout, square, bulldog type so that is what you'll mostly see posted here. 😀

Sunday Funday 🐇

Newly senior doe. High Rufus chestnut out of red x otter. It's going to be nice this weekend so I'll be deep cleaning cages and blowing rabbit fur. 🧼🧽 How am I going to keep all of these nice hollands 😩 I'll have to let some go, I just gotta.. 🤷‍♀️

This 1 year old doe has given me sooooo many nice offspring including the 11 week old posted below so she is being gifted to a friend, Brooke 🙂 Can't wait to see what she produces for you! 💝

You never know what's going to happen when cleaning rabbit cages. Horrible car accident right in front of the house. Everyone was pretty banged up but alive 🙏🙏🙏 Prayers for the family and elderly woman. No idea what caused it to happen how it happened, no other details. Just many prayers for them all. 🙏🙏🙏
