Hello there,
Doggies are not well equipped to deal with extreme heat. I am sure you know that they are not able to sweat like us; they pant instead but this is not a terribly effective cooling system. They do have sweat glands in their paws and ears, but these play a minor role in regulating body temperature.

I am still planning early morning/ evening walks; we are so lucky around here to have places our dogs can walk in shade and with access to water.
In addition, I have spent today making my garden Hot Dog Friendly! Pool, cool mats, frozen toys and treats all ready to roll, plus I am so lucky to have a shady riverbank where they can have supervised play.

Alfie helpfully tested one of the cool mats for me...happy boy! (Won't get in the pool though!)

Alfie's Pals is up to speed and running like a dream again❤
Always learning new things when out in nature...I found the female stag beetle in a client's garden and the golden-ringed dragonfly on Caesar's Camp. Never seen the latter before....and it was big!!!

After commenting that l loved his dogs' luxurious sleeping arrangements, one of my amazingly kind and talented clients made Alfie his own bespoke and handcrafted doggy bed! Alfie, was straight in it and having twitchy squirrel dreams soon after! 🐿 Very sturdy and on wheels, so can be moved easily. If you fancy something similar for your special canine pal, feel free to message me.
Alfie gives his new bed a solid 5 barks!!! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

To all my wonderful clients,
I am sure you will appreciate that I am very keen to keep my small business afloat during this extraordinarily difficult time.
I would like to reassure you all that I am taking several precautions to minimise any risks to you and your families.
I am using disposable gloves when entering any home. Additionally, I have also been picking up dogs in a designated place that allows for appropriate social distancing.
I am now using my own leads when walking your dog, so there is no chance that your pet’s equipment will be contaminated.
It goes without saying that I am sanitising my hands regularly.
Of course, I entirely understand that in these unprecedented times, you may not wish to or be able to use my services.
Finally, if you are aware of anyone who is self-isolating and needs their dog walked just for a temporary stretch or for the occasional day, please feel free to pass of my details.
