I have a serious pile of dry clean blankets to sort through.

Dry Ridge Farm is almost done, Some invoices just went out
Myers. Cox, Nelson, Netherland, Carney, Bachor, Oleinik are done or nearly done, those invoices will go out in the next couple of days

Icon and Penrose are kinda jumbled together right now, Penrose is like 5 blankets from being finished being washed, however I am not sure what I will get done to be delivered before I leave and the van is going with me.

Copeland Ridge will hit the washer next and is what will be rolling while I am gone to Tulsa.

Willowind is after that.

Morning all!

I've been working hard, but I have been pulling double duty. My friend has been without regular barn help since April and I have been helping him clean stalls in his 26 stall training barn as often as I can. If anyone is looking for a job, and is reliable, lives close to Friendsville and would love to learn about Miniature horses and driving then message me for his number!

Anyway, I am still getting stuff done.
Mountain View is done and billed, I am waiting on payment to schedule delivery
Blackberry Ridge is dry and inspections are underway
Denkenwalter dry, ready for inspections
Dry Ridge Farm hit the washer yesterday

Integral Farm literally just got finished and will be billed momentarily

As soon as the rest of Donato Hill are washed Mountain View will hit the tub along with Blackberry Ridge, I will probably return these two together.

Lisa Williams. You dropped your blankets off at Anchor Way without an inventory. I need you to fill out an inventory by Sunday, July 7, so I know what to do to your blankets, how to reach you and what email to bill you at.

If I do not receive an inventory, your blankets will not be processed and will be returned dirty.

So, a lot of hurt feelings over my last post.

I have never asked for more than labelled and inventoried blankets in a spot where I can load easily into my van. Anything more is kinda on you and I am usually puzzled by what is taken on.

Like, why wash your blankets only to hand them over to be washed? Why remove the nasty tail straps and leg straps? Why are you performing some elaborate folding origami on a dirty blanket?

I expect them to be nasty, that's what I do. I don't want them in bags because as I have repeated so many times, even if they are dry when you put them in there, we live in a semi tropic climate and it is extremely humid here. They can still mold and fester. Guess what my main allergy is? MOLD. You know where that mess is when I pull it out of that bag you so carefully sealed it up in? Right in my face, nose, eyes, hair, and on my shirt the rest of the day.

I know I may sound like a raging bitch sometimes but I do have a reason for the requests I make and I try to keep it simple.

Edit: all caps is probably overly angry looking, but I just drove over 200 miles so a group wouldn't have to and there is a list of instructions published and I do talk about how I need things every year, a lot...a lot.

Also, I am 100% certain that when the video came out with this folding tutorial I made my feelings known.

DO NOT SEND BLANKETS TO ME FOLDED THIS WAY.

I have announced this multiple times in the past. Please don't add time to what I have to do to get your stuff in the washer.

I'm getting a lot of blowback on the increase in the minimum for pickup and delivery.

I increased it to 20 blankets, this year. This is not a personal affront to anyone. I just really have to plant my butt at the shop to get work done, and as much as I love y'all and seeing everyone, it's just going to have to be at my place, not yours for some of you.

WHAT IF I STACK ANOTHER FARM ON TOP OF YOUR FARM TO SAVE ROOM AND NOBODY LABELLS THIER BLANKETS AND THERE IS A GLITCH IN THE ELECTRONIC INVENTORY AND I HAVE NO IDEA AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS WHAT CAME FROM WHERE

I need to move this cart, if anyone knows anyone or anywhere I might be successful advertising it please let me know!

Serfin Pleasure Cart 88" shafts, 24" wheels, broken down completely and refinished with fresh paint and gold pinstripes this spring. New tires and tubes. New owner will probably want a different seat and to select thier own boot so I stopped spending money when I got to that point.

$2,200 obo! I can send it with my dad to the WEC for delivery to Region 12 show next weekend or bring it with me to Murfreesboro, TN, other chances for delivery or meet up negotiable as well. I've got bills to pay and no horse for this cart, my driving creature is 36" tall 😁

Hey guys! Two things!

Please don't assume that farms listed as events are open to strangers dropping blankets. Contact them and ask permission.

Also, please don't leave bins, boxes or bags you want back ( unless they are also needing washed) for me or anyone else to keep up with. Label your blankets and leave only your blankets.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR TAPE ON FABRIC

it won't stay long on clean fabric, it really doesn't stick to dirty fabric and 8 times out of 10 I can't find it.

Labels go on the front buckle (or D ring) on the left side! I have requested that for 12 years y'all.

hey guys, quick reminder, if you are inside the normal pickup area (within 50 miles of 11045 Friendsville Rd) the minimum number of blankets is 20 now.

If you own a boarding or training facility outside of that radius, do a quick count and contact me, I will still come, but there will be a fee.

if you only have a couple of blankets, do not despair, a lot of the "hub" farms allow outside drop offs, and its only two trips to bring them on out yourself, you could cruise on out to Dollywood or head into Knoxville for the afternoon...

Woohoo!

We got a big ol' pile of dirty blankets yesterday from Scots Ridge and guess what??

Nobody? really? well it is early, so I will tell you, they used the electronic inventory form and Christen said it was very easy to use once she got the hang of it!

whee!!

You should be able to find the link here and I am going to mail out some posters for you I81 folks with a QR code on them next week.

Oh, and share, share, share that cart I restored, I need to sell that thing! It is HORSE size, not mini!

All the memorials and talk about our horse community the past couple of weeks have got me thinking about how much we all need to step back and remember how much people do for us that we never even see.

Be there for the people you care about even if it seems like they may not be there for you, they may just not have the mental energy to share right now, it will come back to you eventually.
