Hellooo!

Its been kind of a rocky start to the season but I am determined, yeah we'll go with that. I have been unable to wash anything, not once, but twice, due to shipping delays by the Nikwax warehouse near Detroit. If anyone knows anyone in the Detroit suburbs looking for work, I bet they are hiring 🥸. I am roaring along and ordered soap way before it's needed this past Tuesday so it shouldn't happen again 🤞🏼

Tolbert Equestrian is all washed and a fair amount are packed already those will be delivered on June 16 on my way to Mountain View...

I have pulled Westwind and they are about half washed at this moment (2pm 6/4) as per thier requested return by date of before 6/29.

If I have time, I will start Cedar Valley and a few single person drop-offs as they would be next in line, when I return from my horse show and get back to work on Monday.

I am up early so I am going to go over this quickly...I hope🤣

Inventory is important so I can find your blanket when there are 900 of them in the shed. If you don't know what color or brand it is, I am not sure how you think I am supposed to....its also very important IF your tape comes off so I know what is yours and what you want me to do, because as much as I love all of you, I can't afford to waterproof blankets you didn't want to pay for.

It is also important so I know you have a new email address, mailing address, or phone number. You know all those pesky questions at the top? I like to know how to reach you, in case i have questions, or you don't want to pay me, or I want to send you a Christmas card.

The blanket description part is for the blanket, not your horse. God love ya, I only want your horses name if you want to tell me. I will write it on the tag.

Also, lazy people, ONE blanket per line. I make notes for EVERY BLANKET. I know a lot of farms have 16 navy Amigo sheets that are all size 78. We'll, guess what? I write 78 Amigo sheet navy 500 times every summer, it won't kill you to write it 16 times.

For the record, on the old school inventory I intend for you to circle the item under the line where it says Wash/Wash and Re-proof/Repair the line is where I write my notes about repairs for billing 😉

Please do not wrap the tape around anything. Stick it to a buckle not fabric, it will certainly fall off if it is stuck to the fabric. PLUS, I NEED TO BE ABLE TO FIND IT.

A small piece, your name, wash or wash / proof (or wax) is all you need. I promise on Bella it will stay. I will not struggle or stop to cut it off. If I can't pluck it easily, I just won't.

I am really rolling over here! I should be around just about any day...I do have a few things I do here and there, so it really easier if you tell me when you are coming and I can tell you if I am here or if I will have mom meet you! Check the events for days when I definitely will not be around, otherwise, I try to run out and get back ASAP. I have a lot to do! 😁

Please remember, not all pickups are hub barns. Check with the barn before you decide to go dropping stuff off all w***y nilly! I try to state who the barn contact is in the description of the event.

I have a lot of blankets on site already, thank you! If I could just get the Nikwax warehouse in Detroit on board with sending us our soap that would be amazing...anyhoo...moving freely forward as they say, I have a day, day and a half of blankets to look at before I have nothing to do, so its fine, I'm fine, everything is fine. I can make some more Wuffcoats while I wait, sure, yeah, I'll do that.

Good morning fair people of East Tennessee!!

It is springing, the daffodils are blooming, the stinky pear trees and red buds too, it might get cold a few more times, but if you are starting to think about cleaning the stinky, muddy blankets out of your barn I am scheduling and accepting blankets.

The electronic inventory sheet was a pretty big hit last season, we tweaked it and are working on it still. Both it and the traditional one are still pinned to the top of the page.

Please remember these simple things :

1. If you plan to drop off at a farm, please make sure it is OK with that farm.

2. You are responsible for labelling and inventory of your items, that way you should remember you sent them.

3. Do not label the outside of a bag; label each blanket. Please don't do any of that fancy folding crap from the video. You can do that when you get them back.

4. There is no need to remove leg straps or tail straps, they are probably nasty aren't they?

5. You must pay AND pickup your stuff within 30 days of the invoice date or it will be considered abandoned and I will sell them if you ignore me.

I have started filling out the calendar! If I have assigned a date to your farm that will not work, please contact me. If you wish to pick a date for your pickup, please remember that for farms within 50 miles of me the minimum is 20 blankets. If your farm is outside that perimeter please consider becoming a "hub" farm (there is a fee per customer).

If you need labelling instructions I will be happy to email you the instruction sheet or mail you a laminated one to hang in your barn. They will be posted here soon as well.

I will be accepting blankets for the regular season as soon as we are having consistent overnight highs above 40, the drying shed is not insulated and your blankets will just get stinky again if they freeze repeatedly instead of drying. Late March to Mid April I assume...until then; as always, I will take one or two that need an emergency repair, if you want to bring them to me.

My calendar is supposedly to be delivered Tuesday so I will get to work scheduling. The mini shows are two in June and the long one in September, which seems ultimately doable but a little hairy missing that much drying time right in the middle... but just that much more time to get stuff turned around before June, right? 😁

Zora is silently judging everyone who skipped last year. We look forward to seeing you in March or April!
