MUNCHKIN CROSS OBITUARY
Munchkin Cross, 15 (Dog years) 76 (human Years)
Former Rescue Dog, Munchkin Cross, 15, died, at his home in Glen Burnie MD on Jan. 3, 2017 after a brief but courageous battle with Lymphoma. He is survived by his father, Alex Cross and his countless friends and fans.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
Munchkin was born Dec. 30, 2001 in West Virginia and served as a hunting dog for a number of years before being discarded. In 2008/2009, Munchkin was found nearly frozen in a snow ditch by a passing motorist with a love for animals. She took Munchkin in and took care of him till he was ready to be transferred to the Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland (BRSM) to be adopted. Munchkin’s patented trademark was his famous tongue hanging out permanently due to only having two teeth.
Munchkin was adopted by Alex Cross in 2010 where he enjoyed a life of luxury, belly rubs, kisses and Milk Bones. Munchkin acted as the Ambassador to the Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland up till his death. Munchkin hosted a number of movie premieres, and fund-raising events over the past several years, raising over $10,000 for the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and BRSM.
Munchkin loved everyone he met, animal or human and never once barked or gave an Arrroooo.
He will be missed greatly and left a void that will never be filled.
In lieu of Milk Bones, Munchkin asked that donations be made in his name to the Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland. Checks can be made out to Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland and mailed to:
