The 5 Second Rule
If you cannot comfortably hold your hand on the surface your dog will be walking on for 5 seconds, don't ask them to walk on it for longer than that.

Consider testing asphalt, cement, dirt trails, rubber trails, metal grates.

Choose instead grassy shady areas or wait for a different time of day. Alternatively, you can find some fun training activities to do indoors to wear out their brain.

World Spay Day stats: About 1 million pets are euthanized each year in the US alone, due to over population, aka too many pets and not enough homes. Shelters and Rescues are over flowing with homeless pets. Know how we prevent this? SPAY & NEUTER: Your pets, your barn cats, and the feral cats that live on your property. Need help? There are many resources available that can assist with cost, as well as spay and release programs for feral cats. This is a human problem. Be part of the solution.

UPDATE: These two kitties are safe in a loving foster home! (Thank you, Shawna!) We will update their progress. Thank you to everyone who expressed concern and wanting to help!

UPDATE: We are in the process of calling all those who offered to help foster, we are SO grateful!! We managed to get a little bit more time to get the kitties out safely. Due to the recent weather and the impact it had on family members, we had gotten behind here. We appreciate everyone's support so much!! We are very much committed to helping these two kitties and are so thankful that property management has given ample time to make arrangements.

These two brothers have an unknown fate if they can’t obtain a foster home int the next 24 hours. They are believed to be about five-month-old, they were originally born outside and brought in, where they were being socialized by a very kind woman who unexpectedly passed away. They are alone in her apartment and are scared. If you can take these boys in and give them some time, they will make someone great companions. Local shelters are full, as are most rescues.
