Frida is a beautiful black and tan hound mix girl! She is around 10 months old and 30-35 lbs. This leggy and slender girl has some filling out to do so she will likely end up around 45 lbs. Frida was overlooked in the overcrowded shelter and sadly spent most of her young life there before ending up on the dreaded urgent list. She is safe now and loving life in her foster home!

Frida hasn’t been with us long and she is soaking up every moment! She is SOO happy to have toys! It did not take her long to discover all of the fun toys in her foster home. She loves stuffies but comes with the disclaimer that she might rip them up. Bones and treat dispensing toys are a favorite of hers too. When she is in the mood she will play fetch. Frida can also be found romping around in the yard with her foster home dog pals. She would likely be fine as an only dog or would be a good match for a playmate.

Frida hasn’t had much leash walking experience at all but in a short time she has shown us she is pretty good at it and enjoys it. We think she would make a great walking trail or hiking buddy. She is a bit afraid of cars (both parked and moving) but has been getting much better with them each walk. This is a smart girl and she is very food motivated. She has quickly learned “sit” and hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home. She is sleeping quietly in the crate overnight and is fine in there when her foster people aren’t home.

Frida is a sweet, goofy and fun-loving lady. She enjoys getting attention from people and that love she missed out on. She is still learning puppy manners like not jumping and nibbling but is a quick study looking to please.

Foster or foster-to-adopt needed for Cheyanne!

Cheyanne is a beautiful and sweet 9 month old terrier mix. She currently weighs 36 lbs.

Cheyanne is such a sweetie and just melts into you for love and attention. She is great with other dogs. This girl is already crate trained and is ready to get into a foster home or forever home! She is already spayed and UTD on vaccines and would love to hitch a ride to us on 11/16.

Paige is looking for an adopter. She is around 4 years old and 45 lbs. She was found as a stray and unfortunately the finder could not hold onto her so she is in a shelter and is at risk.

This happy-go-lucky girl was brought to the shelter by a kind Good Samaritan. Paige enjoys the simple pleasures-taking a nice stroll, snuggling up for pets, playing with toys and of course, savoring some treats. With the pep in her step and loving nature, she’s sure to brighten up any home!

Gwen is a great little puppy at around 5 months old. She is sister to Leia and is a little smaller but also likely to be a petite medium sized dog when fully grown.

Gwen loves to be outside and is content with whatever she finds to play with. ☀️🎾 She really LOVES her stuffies! 🧸 She collects them all up and hides them in her bed. The cutest thing!

Gwen is great in her crate she hardly ever barks. She is crate trained and sleeps in there overnight quietly and with no mess. She is doing well with potty training and following the lead of her foster home dog pals. She loves having some dog friends around. ❤️🐾🐾

Gwen is a happy, carefree little pup! She’s very sweet and loving and she does everything at 110 mph. 🤣

Leia is a little bundle of love! At 5 months old and only 16 pounds, Princess Leia is an absolute gem of a dog. Based on her current size and age we expect her to be a very manageable medium size dog. Her description from the shelter said she is shy, but we have only see her be eager for affection and attention. All she wants is to cuddle her way into a new home.
Leia is quiet and relaxed for her age, especially after a nice walk. She is working on potty training (hey, at only 5 months old in a shelter, what can you expect?) and leash manners. She is a fast learner and will undoubtedly make quick progress in leash walking and any other skills her humans want her to learn. Leia is great in her crate and can sleep through the night. She is calm and relaxed in the car. She is also fabulous with her foster home’s 3 dogs and teenage son. Leia is eager to meet her forever family and spread even more love around!

URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED FOR HEIDI!

Heidi is just over a 1 year old, but she has spent the last 330 days and counting waiting for a family to take her home. Heidi was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived in a filthy pen, crammed with her brothers and sisters. They all found homes when they were still younger pups, but Heidi missed her chance during her puppyhood. At 8 months old, she was a playful pup, full of energy and dreams, until, while frolicking in the yard in a foster home, a bone in her leg broke. Surgery was required and it was a success, but involved pins and plates and the recovery was a gruelingly long four months. Heidi was confined to a crate, and her spirit dulled. The happy sounds of other dogs being adopted echoed in her ears, reminding her of what she too, dreams of - a loving home. She holds on to the hope that one day that day will come for her..

Heidi has grown stronger, physically, but each day she wonders why other dogs leave and nobody has chosen her. Adoptions have slowed and days have turned into weeks and months. Heidi has become a fixture in the shelter - a sweet dog with a gentle disposition and a captivating gaze, yet still she waits.

Each day, she goes out for her walks and wags her tail, greeting people with enthusiasm. She loves the sunshine, the feel of grass beneath her paws and the gentle breeze. Most of all, she loves someone simply showing her some attention.

Heidi has grown up and matured while waiting. She walks nicely on a leash, gets along beautifully with her dog friends, and is well behaved inside(including being potty trained). She greets each new person carefully and gently, as if she’s thinking, “Are you the one?”.

Heidi is a beautiful girl - truly was the prettiest of her group, yet she is now stuck. She’s about 45 lbs, with no vices that we have seen. Temperament is more submissive than alpha, and she should make a great all around family dog, or one on one companion for a single person. She’d be happy to live with doggy family members.

Update: adopted from the shelter!

Traci is a super adorable little beagle, who came in with another beagle who already left the shelter. She’s about 7-8 years old and 26lbs.
Traci is a typical beagle with that amazing, gentle and sweet beagle disposition. She is housetrained and walks well on a leash. She is great with other dogs and kids. She has not been introduced to cats. This little lady is as sweet as she can be and wants nothing more than to be in a loving home!

🎃Foster Spotlight🔦

Eva is a sweet, playful , and fun-loving terrier mix. She is around 2 years old, just under 40 lbs and has a beautiful brindle coat. Eva loves people and is dog friendly, but is not a fan of cats. Eva is crate trained, house broken, and ready to find her forever family!

Eva enjoys a good time and is sure to bring smiles and laughter to her forever family! Eva can often be found rolling around showing off her belly and tossing around her stuffed toys into the air. When she gets tired of goofing around, she becomes a lap dog and will curl up next to her person and lay her head (or her whole body) on your lap.

Eva takes zoomies time and squirrel patrol very seriously so a fenced yard would be best for this silly,fun and loving girl. She is comfortable leash walking but can be a bit strong at times. She is very dog friendly and into playing. Sometimes she is a bit excited and forward meeting other dogs, so slow intros are recommended for dogs who may not appreciate this style.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!

MooMoo is a 5-6 year old low rider guy who is so adorable and impossible not to love! He weighs around 35 lbs and we think maybe he is lab/corgi mix.
MooMoo is a super chill dude who is big on cuddling and sleeping on the soft surfaces (couch and bed). He really enjoys being around the three kiddos in his foster home. He is also great with his foster home dog pal and is nice and calm around her. He is a true gentleman and tolerates her being the alpha.

MooMoo loves to play fetch and is hoping to continue this joy in his forever home. He gets really excited for meal time. He’s the perfect combination of relaxed but enjoys his time running around outside. MooMoo is an easy house guest who is already house trained. He is awesome on a leash and enjoys a nice walk. He’s not crazy about being in a crate but stops whining once he realizes it’s nap time. It’s likely he won’t need to be in a crate much, and he definitely prefers human cuddles overnight. He hasn’t been with us long so we continue to learn about him and his trustworthiness he may earn free roam status.

Foster or foster-to-adopt needed for the Gx6 puppies!!

Our shelter partners are being overrun with puppies in need! We would love to help get some of these adorable and deserving pups into loving homes and out of the overcrowded shelter.

Our best guess is that these little cuties are hound/terries mixes. They are currently around 20-30 lbs and 4 months old. They were picked up as strays by animal control and landed in the shelter.

These pups would love to be out of their kennel at the shelter and in homes learning the ropes of potty training, crate training, leash walking and getting that socialization that is important at this age. If you are looking to add a puppy to your family these little guys and girls are in need and would love if you picked them.

✨Foster Spotlight!✨
Buttercup is a beautiful 1 year old pup who weighs between 50-55 lbs. Sociable and affectionate, she will make a welcome addition to a variety of homes.

This pretty pumpkin is housebroken and doesn’t get into things she shouldn’t. She is crated during the work day but quickly proved herself to be a trustworthy house guest and is able to remain outside the crate otherwise. She’s even found “her spot” in the house to sleep each night.

Buttercup really enjoys her walks. As her leash skills get stronger and she gains confidence she is likely to make an excellent adventure buddy. A home with a fenced in yard is a must. Whether zooming around or sunbathing, she loves being outside.

This beautiful girl is always eager to meet new friends of both the dog and human variety. She plays well with her foster fur sibling and greets visitors to her foster family’s home well. She does need some work with her introductions to other dogs on leash because she gets a little more excited than some might appreciate. A home with cats or other small animals likely won’t be best for her. We recommend any children living in the home be over the age of 10.

Buttercup is a young dog and easily excited, but is working very hard with her foster family in learning how to be the bestest girl. A forever family willing to continue providing Buttercup with structure and patience while she learns the ropes of the best doggy behavior will bring out her greatest qualities.

Check out these two amazing pups! Aaron and Newt are both looking for their forever families and we know they will be amazing additions. Both boys are great with other dogs and kids!

These dogs are the perfect age! They are out of the really puppy stage but are young with lots of life to give. At 1-2 years old these handsome and friendly guys are already potty trained and crate trained. They are both playful pups who would love a dog pal in their forever home. Aaron would likely also be fine as a solo dog with someone active who takes him on all of the adventures.

Sweet adult girl, Candice, is looking for her family!! She is a good, easy and affectionate house guest. She is calm in the house but does enjoy the opportunity to stretch her legs outside. This girl is around 2-3 years old and a bit underweight at 60-65lbs right now. Candice comes housetrained, crate trained and ready to love her forever family.

Candice just wants people to show her some love and TLC she has been missing out on. She has done well meeting people at Meet & Greet events and has been fine with kids. She would do well as an only dog or with a chill large dog companion. We do not have any information on Candice and cats.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Meet Odin! Or Oddie as his foster family calls him. He is around 8 months old and 40 lbs and has THE most beautiful, soft brindle coat. He's a new arrival from an overcrowded shelter down South and he absolutely knows how to turn on that southern charm. At first meet, he will lean his whole body into you for some pets and love. He gives the sweetest kisses and nuzzles his nose right up to your face to say hello. He is full of love and so happy for any and all affection.

Odin’s favorite activities since breaking out of the shelter include running around the yard with a tennis ball and curling up next to his people for a snuggle and nap. It's the little things in life, right? He loves to play with other dogs and is learning that nibbling on ankles is not fair play. We know he’ll catch on!

Odin walks nicely on a leash, no pulling or trying to chase deer or squirrels. Since growing up in the shelter with his siblings, he's adjusting to sleeping without them. He does sleep through the night quietly and without accidents, but right now his foster mom stays next to the crate until he falls asleep. Someday he might like to sleep in bed with his forever family.

He is so curious about this great big world and loves to stick by your side and check it all out. He doesn't seem bothered by vacuums, washers, doors, or steps. Car rides are no problem for this boy. And he is great with kids, too. Odin would love a yard and a canine play mate but we suspect could also be an only dog.

Foster or foster-to-adopt needed for Dolly and Daisy!

These beautiful girls appear to be lab and husky mix possibly. Dolly has two blue eyes and Daisy has one blue and one brown. They are estimated to be between 6 and 9 months. They currently weigh about 40 to 45lbs so these are going to be pretty large dogs.

Dolly and Daisy are good natured pups! They good with kids and full of energy. Dolly has been taught to fetch and she does a great job at it! Now would be a great time to adopt them and integrate them into your family while they are still young and learning.
