MEET & GREET THIS SUNDAY! We will be at Concord Pet Supplies in Chalfont from 12-2pm. We have a number of dogs that will be attending for you to meet.

❤️Foster Spotlight❤️

Charlie has been with her foster family for a month and here’s what they have to say about her:

"Charlotte (Charlie) is the goofiest little fluff! We were told ahead of fostering her that she may have been around some not so nice people, so we made sure to give her an environment where she felt safe and comfortable. She spends the majority of the day in her little “cave” I built for her. She comes zooming out for meal time, bathroom breaks, bedtime and when she’s ready to be silly.

She loves showing off how cool her hops are and is very quick to join the other dogs for treat time. She really enjoys scratches and brush time and is very affectionate when she gets dedicated lap time on the couch!

She is fine with the other dogs and we think she’d coexist peacefully with any other animals in the house. We think she’d do best in a quiet home where she can take her time coming out of her shell and cheering her on as she hops around the house!"

Charlie is around 7 years old and 15 lbs. She is crate trained, housebroken and can walk on a leash.

ADOPTED!

Noel has been with her foster family for a month and here’s what they have to say about her:
Noel is just the sweetest dog, she loves her foster dog siblings- plays well with all of them of all ages and sizes. She has bursts of energy but mostly enjoys sunbathing and couch cuddles. She loves learning with the help of treats and is very attentive. We started her in the crate at night and graduated her to a bed in the room and she loves bedtime when she gets a treat for going into her sleep spot!

She is loving having a fenced in yard to stretch her legs in and does all of her bathroom breaks outside. She is the first to hop on the couch and flop on our laps when we sit down and stares directly into our eyes as if saying “thank you” for giving her somewhere safe.

Ideally we will match her with a homebody family who has other friendly dogs and a fenced in yard. She would likely do well as an adventure dog too, as she is decent on the leash, but would require a patient owner to help her build her confidence with the scary world moving around her.

Brice is a VERY sweet and affectionate 2.5 year old pup who weighs around 50 lbs. He is loving every second of being in his new foster home. He arrived from a shelter where he was described as being "calm, loving, and gentle."

Brice walks around the house with a permanent smile and is the perfect house guest! His favorite activities include snuggling with his people (especially the kids), chewing on a bone, long walks, a game of fetch, and looking out the window. He gets along nicely with other dogs and tolerates younger pups jumping all over him. He would do very well in a variety of homes.

Sunkiss is a gorgeous girl ready to find her forever family! She is around 1.5 years old and 50 lbs. Sunkiss is a very sweet girl who just needs a patient family as she learns to fully trust humans. She adores other dogs and isn't shy about that!

Since being in her foster home she has slowly started to become more comfortable with humans. You will find her hanging with her foster home dog pals for a confidence boost. We definitely want her forever home to have at least one dog friend.

Sunkiss does walk well on a leash but can be a little skittish if there are scary things, so a fenced yard would be good for her as she continues to become more brave while walking. She has been a great house guest and seems to have potty training down. Her cute personality comes out when she is playing with other dogs and toys. This girl is so sweet and enjoys pets and attention. She will just need people who give her the time to come out of her shell. She is food motivated so positive reinforcement will be a great help as she continues to learn and grow.

Honeydew (aka Freckles) is a lovely girl around 2 years old and 40 lbs. She has been settling into her foster home and is the sweetest!

She is lovingly called Freckles by her foster family because of the cute spots that show from under her white fur on her back. We are not sure what breed mix she is but that doesn't make her any less great! For her young age she is pretty laid back. She is affectionate and likes being near her people to get the attention she missed while in the shelter. She would love a home where belly rubs are included.

Honeydew is housebroken and crate trained already. She is a smart girl and knows "sit". She is a sensitive soul and will benefit from people who focus on positive reinforcement so she can trust and feel totally safe. She is great with other dogs and we think she would be good with kids also.

Tito is a new arrival and has been settling into his foster home! After being picked up as a stray, Tito spent quite a few months in a shelter but he hasnt let that get him down- he is a happy go lucky, care free, super playful pup. He is around 10 months old and did we mention his size?! He is the perfect size at around 35 pounds with a handsome smile and soft coat.

Since being out of the shelter, Tito has been brave and outgoing. He ventured upstairs and downstairs on the first day in his foster home. He isn't bothered by household appliances and overall has shown good house manners. He does try to counter surf and gets some zoomies inside, but he is still figuring out what house life and boundaries are.

Tito is totally game for adventures. He enjoys walks, car rides, and trips to Tractor Supply. He is friendly with everyone he meets along the way. He loves, loves, loves to play!. He is having so much fun with the kids in his foster home and plays gently with them. Of course he is up for a pup pal but is still learning doggy signals and when to pause or back off on the rough playing.

Tito would really enjoy a yard; he is so happy to run free and is great at fetch. He would need a solid fence- no post and rail. Because of his size and personality he is at risk for sneaking through the fence for an adventure.
Tito is doing great with potty training. He sleeps in his crate quietly all night. He is a quick learner and very treat motivated.

ADOPTED!

Vasco recently arrived to an AHDR foster home and he is just so loving! It’s like he’s making up for all those months at the shelter where he didn’t have as much human attention. He is around 1.5-2 years old and weighs 52lbs.

Since arriving to his foster home he hasn’t had any accidents and has been great when crated. We are still learning about him so he has been crated overnight and sleeps quietly there. We suspect he would love to sleep close to his human and we don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be able to do that very soon.

Vasco is dog friendly and hasn’t had any issues sharing things with the 3 resident dogs in his foster home. He would love a home with another playful dog or he could be an only to soak up all the love. He is a smart guy, and in less than a day he picked up going to the back door when he needs to go out. He is treat motivated and eager to be a good boy.

So far he has been calm in the house and will happily entertain himself playing with toys. He loves to play fetch with the kiddo in his foster home. Vasco rides nicely in the car and is just a happy go lucky guy who is grateful to have been given the opportunity to leave shelter life behind.

Meet & Greet

Pablo is a very sweet and handsome lab mix. He is around 1 year old and 50 lbs.

Pablo just came to us so we are still learning about him but here is what his foster has to say so far: “Pablo rode well in the car to my house but needs to build a little confidence to get in and out on his own. The first thing you notice about him is how gentle he is. He is a total sweetheart. He has done all of his pottying outside and was good in the crate when left for a few hours. He is dog friendly but is still finding his confidence to play with the other dogs in the house. Even in just a few hours he has gotten more comfortable and has started to dip his toe into playing. He has quickly discovered many toys and bones and will happily occupy himself with them. It seems that Pablo would be fine in a home with or without other dogs. He looks to people for guidance and encouragement (a treat bag in hand also doesn’t hurt). He is a little timid in new situations and places but remains a lovebug and warms up quickly.”

Pablo will be attending our Meet and Greet tomorrow at Dogs & Cats Rule in Doylestown from 10:30am until 12 noon. Come out and meet this handsome fellow before he gets scooped up.

UPDATE! We still plan to have a Meet & Greet this Sunday. We have 8 awesome pups lined up to meet potential adopters! Due to the current weather forecasts we have decided to move the Meet & Greet to a slightly earlier time and shorten it a little bit. Hopefully this will allow everyone who wants to meet these awesome dogs to still be able to and get home before the snow really starts coming down. ❄️☃️

Winterfell (affectionately called Winnie in her foster home) is a Chihuahua/Min Pin mix who is around 3 years old. She is a very petite little lady at 9lbs. Winnie is good with dogs, cats and kids.

Winnie is the most adorable little girl with amazing ears! She loves hanging out with her person and having a lap to cuddle up on. Winnie gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and is fine with the kitties. She would be happy in a home with another dog, or as your only little princess. Winnie is crate trained and is doing well with house training but does still use p*e pads on occasion. She is ready to find her forever home!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
Becca is an adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix looking for her forever home where she will be cared for and loved unconditionally. Her prior caretaker battles drug addiction and poor Becca lived in that environment until recently when she was brought to a shelter. Despite these experiences, Becca is happy-go-lucky and absolutely adores people.

She’s about 1-2 years old and 20 lb and bursting with personality. True to her breed, she has lots of energy and would love a fetch partner and space to stretch her legs each day. Becca does have luxating patellas and takes a daily joint supplement. She is not in any pain and, at her size, the vet does not recommend surgery. This should be monitored at her routine vet visits.

Becca is crate trained and house trained and happily sleeps through the night. She enjoys a good snuggle and is an excellent lap warmer. She can be nervous and feel overwhelmed around new dogs, but she warms up with slow intros. She hasn’t shown interest in the two cats in her foster home, but care should always be taken when introducing furry friends. Becca loves her people and would be perfectly happy being your one and only, too. She’s so ready to find her happily ever after!

ADOPTED!

Meet Opal and Onyx — our latest puppies in foster pulled from a rural shelter! These puppies are survivors of cruel treatment and were found abandoned in the cold in an ice cream bucket.

They are now safe, happy and growing, but still tiny! We think they are small terrier mixes. These cuties are both female and are around 9-10 weeks old. Onyx has one blue eye and Opal has two brown eyes.

Opal and Onyx are very young still so families will need to have time to dedicate to potty training, socialization and other aspects of good puppy training so they grow up to be the best little ladies.

These puppies will be at our meet & greet this weekend!

Are you looking for some joy to beat the winter blues? This 3 year-old collie mix is sure to melt the blues away. She is 32 pounds of fun and sweetness.

She is sure to bring lots of joy and fun to her future family! She likes to spend her days playing in the backyard with her foster family’s resident dogs, sniffing on the walks, snuggling while watching football and trying to climb a tree after a pesky squirrel. She will also put on a show for you, showing off her balance by strutting on her back legs (her foster family calls her the “Dancing Queen”).

Joy is house-trained and is working on gaining confidence when she encounters new dogs while walking on leash. Back at home, she loves pulling dog toys from the bin and carrying them to one of her many favorite spots. This sweet and beautiful girl is ready for her forever family!
