I lost my best friend today, after nearly ten years of adventures together. We had to put Cher to sleep after cancer rapidly ravaged her. I am suitably devastated. Deseree was the driver, and Shawn and Nate came with so we all could say goodbye. Fortunately our vet is amazing and let me call all the shots. We had him come to the car and give her much needed pain medication then we carried her over to a natural area outside of the office for her to lay down in the grass and fallen leaves beside a giant tree and a bench. She was as at peace as possible. May she run free over the rainbow bridge, eat all the chocolate she wants, have endless butt itches, bark at the fence, and continue to get into her harness that she loved so much so she can go on another new adventure! My world will never be the same.
