I've been making things my whole life - knitted things, edible things, clay things, paper things, you name it, I've probably done it. From time to time, I'll wear or use something I've made, and someone will ask me if that's what I do for a living...my answer has always been a sad sigh, and an "I wish." Things have been tough in my life lately, for a myriad of reasons, and I finally decided to sto
p wishing, and start DOING....life is too short to chase someone else's dreams. So I took the plunge and opened my own shop - now, when someone asks me if this is what I do for a living, I can smile and say, "I'm sure trying!" :)
A little about me:
I'm a Jack-of-all-trades, master of...well, quite a few, actually. I love knitting, baking, playing with clay...really, I just love creating things. Some things are cute, some things are tasty...some things are both tasty AND cute. My goal in life is to leave everything - both places and people - in a little better shape than when I found it. If I can make your life a little easier, a little sweeter, or at least make you laugh, then it's a good day. Details, details: I've got a husband, three kids, five cats, a dog, and an ever-growing army of dust bunnies that I'm sure are planning their coup any day now. My house is a wreck, I have no idea how much clothing we own because it's never all been clean at the same time, and I haven't seen the surface of my table in so long that I've forgotten what it looks like. On the up-side, I have a house full of small, furry, purring things, and my life is full of laughter. I think it's a fair trade.
