Sailor arrived in Georgia yesterday.
Another pup from the litter that had a c-section.
This little man is extremely intelligent and he'll be a handful for his new owner Greg. I wouldn't be surprised to see him run rabbits very very young.

Our very long time friend David Church in Oregon, taking the photo of his grandson Gibson. Gibson’s Mom loved our beagles from a young age on. Gibson with 3 sons out of IFC Branko’s Play It Again Sam, and the one on the left a son of Branko’s Bourbon (who was sold to David as a running dog).
One of these is out of Branko’s Special Diva sent to David this Spring. As we hoped when we made the breeding, superior dogs.

This gorgeous male out of Branko’s Ali Axel and Branko’s Blue Poppy now resides in Massachusetts. Long time clients, first the Dad and now the son. They have also bought Poppy and I know they will love her. We thank them.
He will also be bilingual and learn the meaning of Kalispera and Kalimera.

F. C. Branko's Doc Watson went to his eternal hunting grounds today. He was over 17 years old, and suffered heart failure overnight. We took him to our vet clinic to be put to sleep.
Doc was one of a kind. He had over 20 wins in competitions. But moreover, he was a true gundog, and true representation of what a real beagle is all about. Extremely intelligent, tons of hunt and desire, excellent nose that he used correctly and well built. Doc represented all the ancestors in his background.

Doc was campaigned by our friend Denny Dugan, who stayed co-owner of Doc till the end, even though Doc has been at home for a long time.

Although we realized this day was going to come, it still was very hard to say our "goodbyes". A few tears were shed.....
Doc will be buried on one of our 640 acre running grounds. That's where he belongs.

Fellow Beaglers:
The Sportmen's Alliance in the United States plans to sue the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) over the new import rules, which come into effect August 1, 2024. The Government of Canada came out in a press conference on July 17th firmly against these rules and the lack of need for them. The Canadian Federal Minister of Health was extremely strong in his wording and condemnation.

As you all know, this has necessitated us selling some of our breeding stock. For that we thank those purchasing them. However, if the rules stay as they are, no pups under 6 months + 1 day can enter the USA without many onerous steps to go through, that are entirely unnecessary. It is very, very harmful to the pups. Will we be able to keep some? Probably we will but for the time being no females will be bred until we know more.

IF YOU ARE A BEAGLER, OR OWN ANY OTHER HUNTING BREED, AND NORMALLY TRAVEL BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN CANADA & THE USA FOR HUNTING/TRIAL PURPOSES OR INTEND ON BUYING A HUNTING DOG FROM CANADA, AND LIVE IN THE UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN OR THE WESTERN HALF OF MICHIGAN'S LOWER PENINSULA, AND FEEL YOU ARE HARMED BY THIS, PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON BELOW.

Is there anything cuter than a little girl and her new puppy! Carly, 5 years old, holding a puppy for her Daddy in Wisconsin. Delivered this week. Pups name is Gunner ( Branko’s Blue Poppy x Branko’s Ali Axel, a son of IFC Branko’s Ali Baba)

Thanks for the very, very many emails and messages. It is much appreciated.

As I stated earlier, we are selling most of our dogs, but not all of them. In the future, there may well be some 6+ months old dogs for sale.
Our life is just not complete without dogs...

At this time, I have so many people interested, that obviously we wouldn't have that many dogs to let go. (could sell 50 if we had them, but we don't)

Those who have emailed will be notified if we do. There are some younger bi***es we want to take a good look at, and make some tough decisions.

Due to the onerous changes in the CDC regulations to import dogs into the US, we have decided to sell most of our dogs.
Some outstanding brood bi***es are available. A few 15 inch, and some 13 inch females.
We have 2 bi***es bred, due in a couple of weeks, too late to ship to the U.S. before Aug 1, 2024. We will raise both litters until they are 6 month old. Some will be sold within Canada also, maybe all.

It pains us no end that all these great genetics will no longer be available to our many longtime clients in the U.S. Our life has been upended in a really bad way, and the feeling of helplessness is overbearing.

F.C. Branko's Double Helix is also available to an approved kennel.
The other studs are staying home to live out their lives. They wouldn't make a change easily anymore, but Helix would
HELIX will have a new home, he is sold and staying in Canada. He will fly out on Sunday

Today we tattooed and took photos of the litter from F.C. Branko's Matrix x Branko's Lady Right On The Dot. The entire litter are beautiful pups.
This little girl will be going to Louisiana, leaving on July 2nd. She'll go with a bluetick male out of Branko's Ali Axel & Branko's Blue Poppy.
Their new owner cannot wait to get them.

At the vet, after C-Section. Then home, with Mom. Driving home was an adventure. They were climbing out of the box and had to keep putting them back. All pups born alive and well!
Having a great veterinary team is such a comfort! Thanks everyone at Woodlands Veterinary Clinic!
This may well be our last C-section ever…

A friend caught us some rabbits from East of the city. We released them in the woods behind the farm, but a few have been making their presence known around the house. The one with the green grass this morning, the other one a couple of days ago. Cottontails. They normally don't survive in the big woods, but obviously they feel/are safe around the farm and the house. If only we would see babies!

F.C. Mount Zion Pete.
Found in the background of our Branko's Conman. Conman was by Ft.Ch. Winterborne Boomerang. Winterborne Boomerang was a dog Branko hunted over with Terry McBride, and a heck of a dog. Mount Zion Pete would have been Boomers grandfather. Conman was much like his Sire and can be found in the background of nearly all our dogs.

Armando Pazienza got HIS first beagle from this litter.
