Buffalo County Humane Association has been caring for companion animals in need for 25 years. We opened our first permanent building, the Jerome and Judith Benson Animal Shelter, in fall of 2019. BCHA is recognized as a nonprofit organization under IRS Code, Section 501(c)(3).

He didn't quite fit in at his foster trial.

Energetic young boy, needs agility or lots of exercise per day, hobby farm away from roads would be ideal, or fenced yard.

Super smart boy willing to learn, knows how to sit and shake.

Great dog for someone that wants to take him far on training!

Who out there has an office assistant that sleeps on the job? 🐱💤🐾 Solfa was adopted from Buffalo County Humane Association and is living his best life helping mom prepare lesson plans for the upcoming week! 📚🐾

BCHA is beyond capacity for cats! There are over 70 cats sharing three rooms, plus more in foster. Get a meet and greet scheduled by submitting an application to show you are potentially interested in adopting. BCHA will do a reference check first and contact you once your application is accepted.
