We’ve been a bit quiet here. For good reason, but a sad reason.

Our sweet Sophie cat had to be hospitalized with a blood clot the day after we returned from our amazing Alaska trip. She threw a blood clot which led to testing to see why. We were devastated to learn that her little liver and lungs were covered in cancer…. In addition to her already advanced kidney disease.

We don’t know how long our sweet Sophie has but we intend on spending every moment with her that we can. She is 16 and she’s been with us for 15 years so we are so grateful for the time we’ve had with her but knowing the end is near is never easy. The long, sad goodbye is the hardest part.

We want to thank for being there for all of the babes in need. for guiding us as we endure this pain. for being a light and for just being here for us. We love our Pearl Paws family and hug your babies for us!
