It's getting to Deshed season! Book ahead! Look at the fur come out of Mongo ! 🐶❤
Let’s talk about DESHEDDING🤗
Your pet’s shed - no matter what Google tells you!🤪
Shedding is normal, and just means that those hairs have died off, and new ones is growing! (Just like people!) Pets can go through an entire “coat change” a couple times a year, but they also loose hairs daily.
.
The fur that’s shedding; whether it lands on the ground and you See it, or it’s piling up Inside the coat - is dead. Dead fur is not a very good insulator against hot weather, or even cold! It simply piles up on your pet’s skin and blocks the live hairs from doing their job; keeping pets warm and cool!
.
What can we do?
.
Groomers can help you Deshed your pets! Deshedding helps get fur off your floor, decreases matting potential, fights overheating, and at the bare minimum - they smell better💖
We can help find issues that owners didn’t even know about! Sticks and thorns can leave scratches! Skin issues under the built up fur is pretty common. Sometimes we find bugs, or rashes that could have been overlooked by a naked eye.
.
Deshedding is - at the very least, a biannual event for most furry pets. Longer haired pets (eg: goldens, border collies, Newfoundlanders) will need to be brushed out much more often.
