Bakit andaming dog lover daw pero kapag may sakit at pumangit ang a*o ay inaabandona?

Isang nakakatuwang kwento ang ibinahagi ng isang ginang matapos minukbang ng isang a*o ang inihanda niyang lechon. Sa halip na magalit, pinili niyang maging kalmado at nag-focus sa sitwasyon. Ganito ang kwento niya:

"Yung lechon pang-Manila, kinain ng a*o! Hindi ako nagalit, kahit napaluto ulit ako. Nakita ko kung gaano kasaya si doggy habang nakatayo sa mesa at kinakain ang lechon. Grabe, abot-abot ang tuwa niya! Paglabas ko, tumakbo siya papunta sa gate sa likod, siguro akala niya papagalitan ko siya. Pero sa totoo lang, mas nagalit ako sa may-ari ng a*o. Bakit hinayaan nilang magutom ang alaga nila?

Sa halip na magalit sa nangyari, napili ng ginang na gawing inspirasyon ito para magbigay ng tulong sa mga hayop sa lansangan. Paalala rin ito sa lahat ng pet owners na alagaan nang maayos ang kanilang mga alaga para hindi na sila mangyarihan ng ganitong sitwasyon.

Every New Year, we receive countless reports of missing animals who fled in fear during the fireworks. Dogs and cats left outside or home alone may go to extreme lengths to escape the explosions. Some end up hit by cars or killed in other ways as they flee. They may also injure themselves or others in their panic and terror—particularly if they are tied up or caged. 😔💔

Here are a few more reminders to keep your animals safe during the New Year's Eve celebration:
❌ Never leave animals tethered or chained outside, as they can hang themselves if they leap over a fence while trying to run from the noise.
❌ Keep cats and dogs indoors during the celebrations and, if possible, stay with them—never take them with you to watch fireworks displays!
✅ Make sure that they are wearing a collar or harness with an up-to-date identification tag, just in case.
✅ Close your windows, draw the curtains, shut the blinds, and play calming, instrumental music to drown out the noise.
✅ Provide distractions, such as toys, games, activities, and yummy treats so that they can relate the scary noises and bright lights to something positive.
