Q: Who is Annie?
A: Annie was one of our original Australian Shepherds. Like Annie the musical, she was a delightful red head 😉

Q: Are you a vet?
A: Nope! I’m only an animal and veterinary geneticist. I can do *a lot* of basic care but cannot prescribe or perform surgery.

Q: Why breed Aussiedoodles?
A: Our program now has doodles and poodles but we originally bred Aussies for medical service (my daughter has a heart condition). Poodles are incredibly smart as well as Aussies. The combination is incredible. We’ve added Bernedoodles and Cavapoos into the mix as well.

Q: What is a guardian home?
A: It’s a forever home for a breeding female. The dog lives with the guardian home except during breeding and whelping (we take care of that). Because of our guardian home program our females have forever homes in place before they retire. Must live locally to be a guardian home.

Q: What is the breeder mentorship?
A: When a breeder purchases one of our breeding pups/dogs I walk them through the appropriate testing and help them to achieve their breeding goals (particularly genetic goals)

An Aussie for Every Home

Our love affair with Aussies came when "Old Man" Harry became our Medical Service Dog. Loyal, smart and irreplaceable, he kicked off a decade long friendship. Now retired, he's the lovable pseudo-grandpa to the young puppies. Olaf, Harry and Annie are the Three Amigos that make up our Aussie Shelter and Breeding Ranch.
